Hiatus

I will not be active or posting here for the foreseeable future. I simply refuse to deal with anonymous abuse, this blog is becoming too much of a strain on my mental health. I might resume later, but currently I don’t have the strength to reply to or even see random cowards spewing hate from behind the shield of anonymity.

Spirits aren't yours to put up for adoption. This entire "spirit adoption" community is funded through the pain and suffering of innocent spirits and souls so people don't have to put in the effort of building an astral family. Lives aren't yours to trade off. Release any entities you have and give them their fucking lives back.

Ok, firstly perhaps it would be more helpful if you messaged us rather than sending an ask, as then we could have an actual conversation. Secondly, perhaps you could have spoken with a little more maturity, rather than swearing and being aggressive. All I’m going to say right now (as I don’t wish to start an argument), is that all of the spirits listed for adoption come forward willingly, because they want to find a new person to work with. They are never permanently tethered to us or their new companion, and are able to leave at any time if they are unhappy. If you, or anyone else has any further questions on this topic I am happy to answer them, so long as you speak with civility and maturity.

Applications

Hello y'all! Recently we've been receiving applications that are getting deleted immediately upon viewing. The reasons are

1) not specifying what spirit you're applying for

2) not leaving a contact method that is reasonable (such as leaving your phone number, email, snapchat, or not leaving anything at all)

3) not being 15 years old or older

4) not submitting the application through the proper channel

5) incomplete applications

If you have any questions or concerns about your application in particular feel free to send a message or ask (preferably off anon, we will answer privately) in regards to your application.

Do i get the real spirit or its just for fun

The spirits that are up for adoption are real beings. This is not a roleplay blog. These beings are sentient and fully understanding of what is going on around them similar to how you are sentient. Also, you don't just "get" the spirit, you apply and the spirit chooses you.

S the lily spirit

Age: 77 years old

Pronouns: They/them

Physical: S has pale green skin and cream, shoulder-length, shaggy hair. They’re around 6 foot 4, and have light brown eyes with a bright yellow pupil.

Personality: S is usually quite chill, they like to relax and enjoy life as it happens around them. However, sometimes S can experience quite bad anxiety. This has specific triggers which will be told to the chosen person. For this reason S doesn’t want to work with a beginner. S also likes to help others, and while they won’t want to have a set curriculum, they would love to offer any pointers they can.

Magic: S works with green magic, and lots of their craft focuses around soil, as they find it fascinating and so full of life. If you wish to work with S, you need to have some aspect of nature close to your home, astral and physical.

Communication: S likes to manifest in different ways (more if chosen), and through thoughts. S also loves to astral travel with people.

Family size: S is happy with any family size, so long as will be there for S if they experience any anxiety or negative emotions.

Likes: S likes lying on soil and feeling at one with Mother Earth. S does have a daily prayer they complete, which involves an aspect of worshipping the green. S also likes growing plants, so if you have a garden or are near a community garden, S would be ecstatic.

Dislikes: Obviously S has their specific triggers, but other than that S doesn’t like slugs, because they destroy plants and it upsets S.

My notes: S is such a wonderful being, me and my spirits will really miss S when they find the perfect companion.

Hi! I was wondering how S was doing?😊 And maybe what are they lookin in a companion?

‘I’m doing fantastically! The sun has finally come out! In a companion, i would love someone with some experience, as I suffer from fairly bad anxiety, and also someone who has a garden or lives close to nature’

May I adopt a spirit? I am 18 years old and have knowledge and keno the proper care for a spirit, this would be my first spirit in my family but I promise your spirit will be in good hands.

If you feel a genuine connection (calling) to one of the spirits currently available, and you fit the criteria (for example age and experience level) then you’re absolutely welcome to apply! If you would prefer to choose the spirit, that would be an RA or CC, but currently those aren’t free. I hope this helps! Thank you x-Hazel

Any advice for those trying to adopt their first spirit??

Wards!! Always make sure you have plenty of wards and keep them updated! I would also recommend doing plenty of research on spirit work and looking into different species and finding out things that are pretty general around them. Like with a lot of water spirits (think mermaids, selkies, animal spirits that live in water on our plane, sirens, some nymphs and shifters, etc) they tend to need a supply of water daily. If possible join some shops discord servers because spirits sometimes talk more on discord than with asks (I’ve noticed at least) and talk with some of the spirits available! If you feel a calling to a spirit always feel free to apply for them, it’s always better to have that chance than miss out on the opportunity. Also try and apply for spirits from reputable shops, I’ll reblog an ask that we listed some of the shops that we trust for you! There are some shops that I personally don’t trust for various reasons. Hopefully some of this helps! Don’t be afraid to shoot another ask if you have some questions over anything! - Intern Tea
