"Don't forget to bring the tickets for the match!" I screamed across the house to Noel, my older brother. Today we are going to watch the Arsenal vs West Ham match. I made my way out to the car to the passenger seat, waiting for Noel. Our family has been a fan of Arsenal for as long as I can remember. I was scrolling my phone, looking at the Arsenal lineups for this match. Finally after what felt like forever, Noel came into the car as we both made our way to the stadium.
"Who do you think will win the match today?" Noel asked, making a right turn down the road.
"Well honestly speaking, I think this match will be easy for Arsenal. Looking at their past matches performance, they have been doing really well. Their form is there, they are not making much mistakes." I said with Noel nodding his head. The match was at 8pm, its 730pm right now. We live 15 minutes away from the stadium so that is a bonus.
Once the car was parked in the carpark, we made our way into the stadium. I took a breath in as soon I stepped into the stadium. The smell from the stadium makes me so excited. The atmosphere in the stadium is just wonderful. Whenever Arsenal scores a goal, the stadium will be filed with loud roars and screams. Following behind Noel as he brought the both of us to our seats, we quickly settled down as the match was about to start soon.
Not long after, the match started. Arsenal was playing really really well. They were giving really good passes, easily tackling the ball from West Ham. With each goal, I stood up and literally screamed with everyone. This is the kind of atmosphere that I love the most. Everyone cheering for the one team, celebrating together. Soon it was halftime. Arsenal had scored 2 goals against West Ham. . Noel and I went out for a toliet break before making our way back into the stadium. Half time was over, the players went back out onto the field as they got into their position.
"Oh it looks like Arsenal is more on the defending side now. They are passing the ball around, trying to keep the ball possession on their side." Noel said. Just then, Saka passed the ball to Odegaard, as Odegaard had a higher chance of scoring a goal from the position that he was in. Skillfully maneuvering the ball with his feet, Odegaard kick the ball towards the net.
"OH NO" I said as I tried to block the ball but it was too late. I felt something hard hit my head. The next thing I know, I was down on the floor, out cold.
Third person pov
'The left side is clear, lets try to score a goal from here' Odegaard thought to himself as he looked up to the goalpost, before kicking the ball. Odegaard was sure that the ball would made it into the net but he was wrong. The ball went right above the goalpost and into the crowd. Someone had fainted from the hit of the ball. The referee blew the whistle. Odegaard was in shocked as he immediately ran towards the fans, together with the rest of the team. Lacazette told the security guards to bring her to the Arsenal resting room and let the medic check on the girl. The guards did as they were told as it seemed serious. The girl was not waking up. It seems like the ball from Odegaard had knocked her out cold.
My POV
I slowly opened my eyes as I looked around. I was in a unfamiliar place, somewhere that I do not recognize. A sharp pain was coming from my head, I held my hand up to my head to try and relieve some of the pain. I looked around the room, to see Noel sitting at the side on the couch, on his phone.
"Hey, Where am I?" I asked Noel
"Oh you're up finally. That took you long enough. Do you not remember what happened?" Noel asked walking over as I shake my head weakly. I sat up with the help of Noel.
"Well Martin was trying to score a goal but unfortunately, the ball went a little bit too high, over the goal post and straight to you. You were out cold once the ball made contact with your head. The guards at the stadium told me that Lacazette was the one who told them to bring you back into the waiting room as the ball from Martin was really strong. They got their medic to check you out to make sure that it was not serious." Noel said as he passed me a bottle of water before standing up to go inform Arsenal medic that I was awake so that they could check up on me.
"Wow" I said, trying to process everything. Not long after, a few people walked into the room, One of them being Martin. The medic came over and ask me a few questions like what number is she holding up, do I feel dizzy blah blah. Once all the questions was asked, the medic took her leave. Martin then came over with a few of his teammates and said "Hi, I am sorry about what happened just now. Does your head still hurt?"
"Oh hey apart from a little pain, I am feeling okay. How did the game go? Did you all win?" "Hey miss, we won the game but more importantly, we want to make sure that you are fine." Ben White said.
"You can call me Emma and this right here is my older brother, Noel." I said as Noel came over with our stuff. Noel held his hand out to shake with the players.
"Well I am sure you know all of us here so we do not need to introduce ourselves right?" Aaron said as we all laughed.
"To make up for what happened today, we have decided to give your brother and you this VIP tickets to our match this Saturday. " Mikel Arteta said as he handed Noel a pair of tickets. I looked at Noel in shocked. Wow, the tickets for the match this Saturday were fully sold out so having this two tickets made us really excited.
"So how long have you been supporting Arsenal?" Thomas Partey asked.
"For as long as we can remember to be honest. Our family are all supporters of Arsenal so we have been supporting for quite some time now." I said, laughing a little. We chatted awhile more with the players before we decided to leave. Martin and I mostly talked with each other and for once, I felt something different towards Martin. It was not the usual supporting of Martin, it felt even stronger. Martin suggested that we should follow them out for their celebration supper which both Noel and me gladly accepted. We were heading to a restaurant just a few streets down the road. The boys offered to pay for our meal which Noel and I keep rejecting but of course, we lost. But it was one of my most memorable night. Each player had such a big appetite but of course that is expected. With them just winning a game, and using all the energy, they definitely needed to get their energy back. Just as we saying our goodbyes, Martin reminded my brother that if I am not feeling well or anything, I should immediately be brought to the doctor.
Who knew that a hit on the head would result in us having tickets to the match this Saturday? Well we are definitely looking forward to seeing them play again.
