Josh Warren - When I’m Gone

If you have read my recent interview with Josh, you know that besides studying music composition and pursuing his career as a singer/songwriter, he has already written two musicals and regularly composes songs for musical theatre projects. A passion he doesn’t even try to deny on his first solo EP – luckily, because that dramatic element in the music and vocal style is what sets it apart from other debuts. Lyrically, the songs all revolve around the theme of lost love, so that the EP could indeed be described as a mini-musical. The last track however, the electronic infused For One Moment, proves that Josh has more diverse songwriting skills and makes me curious for what he’ll offer next time.
