Happy Diwali!!! Diwali (Nov. 2-6, 2021), the Festival of Lights, is one of India's biggest holidays of the year. Diwali began as a Hindu holiday, but is now a National Indian festival, also celebrated in Jainism, Sikhism, and Buddhism. Festival-goers light lamps and lanterns, and decorate their houses with rangolis. One of the goddesses worshipped is Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, good fortune, beauty, prosperity, and power. Diwali in all its symbolism celebrates light over darkness; and good over evil. #diwali #diwali2021 #goddesslakshmi Diwali Lantern (2012.08.0159).
