literally the ONLY REASON eggsy married tilde at the end of tgc is bc matthew vaughn fundamentally misunderstood people's issues with the tilde/eggsy scene at the end of tss and he was like FINE they'll get MARRIED now are you okay with that weirdly shoehorned anal sex scene? and me personally i was like no not really because the way they went about getting married was 1. she gave him an ultimatum which is um a bad way to start a marriage and 2. he thought she was going to die and made the decision to marry her in extreme emotional distress and also 3. your spy main character is now a prince and can't! be! a spy!!!!!!! like my guy WHAT! WHAT!!!!!!

also you went v heavy handed on the queer coding for harry in tgc and then just to like? have him be eggsy's best man or whatever. i don't know i watched it in theaters twice and never again lmao honestly if it weren't for all the VERY soft moments between eggsy and harry i wouldn't ever think about it.

AND THEN ok this is slightly unrelated but in The King's Man they end it with fucking. arthur and galahad in a relationship??? like. harry and eggsy's roles? im gonna fucking fight you matthew vaughn. if the third movie doesn't somehow end with them kissing each other on the mouth with tongue i swear to GOD
