How did you make that big oc journal? I wanna make one of my own but i dont know how to go about it

Quick answer: There were 30 ocs and it was about 56 pages. Took me about…10-13 weeks because I obviously had other classes to attend to and only had a handful of time to work on it.

Okay so, this honestly depends on how YOU want it to look.I’m going to use Amosa’s page as an example bc its probably the most detailed pages I have of anyone in the booklet.

I wanted to have:

A full body ref

Short bio (Name, age, height, etc)

Colors + (Hex color codes: for personal use, really)

Any other detail of a tattoo or something important on them 

I also included a second page of a half-body colored sketch and 2 lil chibis, so each oc has about 2 pages for themselves (excluding amosa and leilani, they got 3 pages)Ask yourself, what are the key elements you want your viewer to know?It doesn’t have to be for a viewer, shit, you can make it for yourself but I think it’s good to keep another person in mind when you’re making something like this because chances are, you have friends who want references of your ocs to draw them, or you want to commission art of them at some point- you never know.I PERSONALLY think that a full body reference + colors is a great place start.You can always add text and other things once you get the hang of it.Depending on how many ocs you have and how detailed you want this journal to be, it may take you a good while or it could take you a short amount of time.Please, for the love of GOD, take breaks if you’re going to work on a project like this. I can’t tell you how badly I got burned out in the middle of working on this damn booklet, how many hours of sleep I lost, and how much it hurt me that I hated the end result.Take your time working on something like this. This is an assumption: you seem like a romantic. I think it's because of how you draw characters interacting with each other but, It feels like you're a very intimate or romantic person.

i’m really the most unromantic and un-intimate person anyone can get

but i find it interesting that you say that, bc since im generally a closed off, cold person who doesn’t really dabble in the romance or anything close to it, it tells me that i’m expressing my lack of those traits through my workaint that something
