I took this shot 2 years ago during a soccer game. These to appeared to be having the time of their lives--playing during “play.” It was beautiful to see how the young boys apparently had total trust in the older girl as she spun him around and around--both of them giggling.

I remember thinking that the parents of these two must have gotten it right. And sadly, I was reminded that so many parents sorely miss the mark.

Martin’s dream can become reality. But it requires all of us living it, believing it--and communicating to our children it’s relationship to our peace, happiness, and survival.

Rose early this morning to freshwater fish in what seems like ages. When you are a soccer parent and a high school principal, weekend fishing opportunities are limited. Although we caught no fish at all this morning, I did manage to "catch" these images that gave me great satisfaction. Strange how when I was younger, I would have been extremely disappointed in the morning on the water because of the lack fishing action. I suppose it was my competitive nature. But at 50 years old now, I am beginning to learn that there is "action" everywhere, if one only takes the time to observe. The miracle of life and creation is ubiquitous. God's Kingdom is here and now--in every thing.
