i'm like super behind on everything ever but just letting you guys know i have seen your requests and i have been ignoring them for like months now because of college and stuff. take no offense. or all offense. idk. look guys i just need to get past this last month of spring semester and who knows maybe i'll finally get to those requests or i won't. who knows. okayyy baiiii.

my thoughts bc i think the world deserves to know my thoughts.

richie is a secretive person in the sense that he lies to everyone through his jokes. but i genuinely believe eddie is the only person in the world who really knows him. eddie wants to know every secret richie’s hiding—who he is behind the jokes.

but the thing is, he doesn’t have to try. he just knows richie. instinctively. he hears the jokes and understands what they mean without needing to dissect them. it’s like richie speaks a language only eddie is fluent in.

like, eddie knew richie didn’t write his own jokes. no one told him—he just knew, because he knows richie that well. he reads him. he sees him. he understands him. he loves him.

on the other hand, richie is just so in love with eddie that he wants to know everything about him. richie hangs onto every single word eddie says. the only way to get richie to listen is to have eddie tell him.

bill tells eddie, “can you tell richie to come help me with math homework?” and eddie’s like, “why me? just tell him yourself.” and bill goes, “the last time i told him something, he forgot it the next second.” eddie’s confused—like, why would he be the exception?

needless to say, richie showed up to help bill with his math homework. he drinks eddie's words like wine.
