A montage of average life | August weekend vlog 2017

Sometimes the weekend is just normal and kind of boring. Sometimes you also get kind of ill on top of that. Not the most exciting video, but at least it's ow...

The title kind of says it. Of course, it’s not the most interesting video. Even if people don’t watch it, I think it’s a good thing sometimes to give a different voice. Highlight the small things, good and bad. And just to have a look in 10 years, so I can compare my average then and now.

The things you miss the most are usually the things you don’t really think about. I never expected to miss some things in my environment so much. I’m generally a positive person, but some small things can really lift my mood.

Here I am again. I truly think it’s a bit of a let down that talking about devising your own study plan is not more of a focus in school. And with that, especially reflection. You can find a waterfall of info on different studying techniques, but not a lot of talk on how to asses what works for you. I definitely want to talk about that reflection aspect some more in future videos.

July 2017 | Journal flip through

Technically a very late video, but I don't regret taking a break while here in Amsterdam. So I prefer to think of it as an extra one, hehe. More on this vide...

I do have a tendency to not fill in the journal on the days when most is happening, the good and the bad days. Especially the few days my friend was coming over are quite empty. At the same time, this is a way for me to record my thoughts to get them out of my head and also to have the memories to look back on. I can still do that, even if it’s just through small notes.

Not an awful lot to say... I’ve definitely been getting better about journaling every day consistently. I’m quite happy with that.

My journaling & planning set up (2017 part II) | Planning

Just as I uploaded a journal set up... To be honest that one was quite old, so this is how I adjusted my journal set up for the second part of the year. More...

I already made one of these, I know. However, that set up is the one I have used from the beginning of the year. When I switched to a new journal for the second half of the year, I took the opportunity to also switch up the set up of my journal. I've also included the other journals that I use. Especially the weekly reflection journal is something I want to discuss some more in a separate video, as well as reflection and my planning system in general.
