How to Use the Billy Music Player (A Step-by-Step Tutorial)
I’ve been getting many, many inquiries regarding how to put music into your blog; using the billy music player is actually very easy.
Firstly, open up three websites:
+ kiwi6.com
+ mp3juices.cc
+ sheepproductions.com/billy
1. Download any songs from any video you wish on mp3juices.cc (or any other music download website). I recommend, for organizational purposes, to make a completely different folder for this playlist.
2. Make an (free) account on kiwi6.com, and upload your music there. (Notice: if your music starts buffering on your website way too much, check your account on kiwi6, Sometimes, you get account violations for copyright stuff. It’s totally fine— all you need to do is delete the file from your account, and sometimes kiwi6 even does that for you. You’re not going to jail.)
3. Upon uploading any song, you will come to a screen that looks like this:
You should go straight to the little box with “Direct Hotlinks” above it. The url there is what you are going to paste on the boxes in the following step.
4. Once you have your collection of five songs, you should head straight to sheepproductions.com/billy!! You will come to a red screen with ten boxes; five for urls, five for titles. The url boxes are where you type in your direct hotlinks. There’s also a little checkbox below the boxes for autoplay.
5. After clicking generate code, you’ll be able to listen to a preview of all of your songs. Highlight, copy, and paste, usually into a box in your theme with the title “music code”, “music player”, or just “music”.
BONUS: HOW TO ADD MORE THAN FIVE SONGS ONTO YOUR BILLY MUSIC PLAYER
This is actually quite simple. Upon getting your code, which should look like this:
<embed src="http://www.sheepproductions.com/billy/billy.swf?autoplay=true&f0=http://www.sheepproductions.com/mfc/done.mp3&t0=Done&f1=http://www.sheepproductions.com/mfc/justified.mp3&t1=Justified&f2=http://www.sheepproductions.com/mfc/shesaid.mp3&t2=She Said&total=3" quality="high" wmode="transparent" width="200" height="10" name="billy" align="middle" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" />
or anything similar to that, you will begin to see a patter of “f1=“s and “t1=“s. They have been bolded above, as well as total=#.
Always begin with f0 and t0. F is your hotlink, and t is your title. You can add as many as you like as long as it follows the pattern of f#=...&t#=...&f#=.... DO NOT FORGET TO ADD THE AMPERSAND, AND MAKE SURE THE HOTLINKS AND TITLES ARE IN ORDER. DO NOT FORGET TO CHANGE THE TOTAL NUMBER, TOO.
