Some knot-knickered traditionalist shrieking in my inbox: YOU CAN'T JUST THROW SPELLS TOGETHER OUT OF NOTHING, YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOUR COMPONENTS ARE CLEANSED AND PREPARED PROPERLY, YOU HAVE TO PREPARE A RITUAL SPACE AND TIME IT JUST RIGHT AND USE VERY SPECIFIC HERBS TO-....
Me: -emptying the contents of storebought teabags into a recycled jam jar- Fascinating.
The difference between baneful and beneficial magic is like the difference between teal and turquoise. Lots of people get it wrong, folks often times can't agree on which is which, and they can look the same depending on the lighting.
Attempting some yarrow earrings. I really hope they turn out!
They didn’t disintegrate, so that’s good! But the rings fell off so I will need to fix that. Also I think I might make the copper a little thicker.

Dead Man's Dust
Intent: For preventing spirits from following you home.
Ingredients:
1 pt Chili Pepper (any type)
1 pt Salt
1 pt Basil
1 pt Garlic Powder
1⁄2 pt Dill
1⁄2 pt Lemon Peel
Optional: Add a pinch of Curry or Cumin for extra oomph.
Note: Powdered versions of most herbs are available online. I recommend Starwest Botanicals and Penn Herbs for quality products at reasonable prices. Also, if you can get your hands on a good electric spice grinder, you can make your own powder from dried herb products. If you don't have premade powdered herbs, grind each ingredient separately to produce fine powder. Sieve the material through the mesh strainer into the collection dish; this removes the larger unground pieces and gives you cleaner powdered herb. (Pro-Tip: Putting a funnel under the mesh strainer reduces lost material and makes collection much easier.)
Combine the component powders in the collection dish, mix well, and bottle immediately. Label with the name, date, and ingredients for future reference.
This powder performs one of the functions of Banishing Powder, but with special attention to warding off pesky ghosts. After visiting historical or haunted locations, or any time you feel spooked while walking home, sprinkle a palmful of powder on the ground and scrape your feet on it (as if you were wiping off dirt) to keep anything ghostly from following you home. Take three steps backward and spit toward the powder, then continue on your way.
For extra protection, toss a pinch of Banishing Powder, Threshold Powder, or Black Salt over your doorstep when you get home.
Note: For safety's sake, make sure you never cast this powder into the wind and wash your hands after use. Leftover particles on your skin can cause pain and irritation if they come into contact with your eyes or breathing passages.

Tarot Readers Owe You Nothing
When a tarot reader decides to not answer an ask or just make short readings for you it's because they can! It's their blog and they are free to do whatever they please with it. If they feel like opening a game and they mention multiple times they are doing limited readings if yours wasn't done, then better luck next time instead of hiding behind an anonymous post to tear them down.
As a reader I am not here to fulfil some fantasy you have of your SP
I am not here to be your 24/7 therapist
Nor are they here to be treated like dirt because you didn't get your way.
I have seen so many posts of readers getting attacked for the length of their readings or limiting their readings. I will always defend tarot readers because this takes up sooo much energy and time.
Readers don't need you coming on to their blog to complain because something didn't go your way or wasn't exactly what you wanted.
And to tarot readers that are called scammers, fake, lazy etc because they aren't satisfied you have every right to block that person because you certainly don't owe them a damn thing.
I open games out of pure love for tarot and wanting to do something for someone that doesn't mean I am going to answer all 170+ asks. IF IT'S LIMITED IT'S LIMITED. I SET THAT RULE AND I WON'T CHANGE MY MIND!
To anyone that struggles with people pleasing as a reader of any kind just know you don't owe some of these ungrateful people anything at all!
Maybe its the Witch in me, but a little part of me always wants it to be Raining

Some behind the scenes 🍃
Dream Dust
For dreams and visions; for restful sleep with pleasant dreams.
Ingredients:
• 2 pt Marjoram • 1 pt Hibiscus Flower • 1 pt Jasmine Flower • 1 pt Valerian** • 1⁄2 pt Poppy Flower* ** • 1⁄2 pt Vervain
Materials:
Mortar & Pestle or Spice Grinder
Funnel
Mesh Strainer
Collection Dish
Container
Grind each ingredient separately for several minutes to produce fine powder. Sieve the material through the mesh strainer into the collection dish; this removes the larger ungrindable pieces and gives you cleaner powdered herb. (Pro-Tip: Putting a funnel under the strainer helps reduce lost material.)
If desired, use an electric spice grinder to reduce the herbs to usable powder. Combine the component powders in the collection dish, mix well, and bottle immediately. Label and date for future reference.
Use in magics intended to bring pleasant dreams, banish nightmares, and ensure a restful night’s sleep. This powder can also be used in any magic related to sleep or dreaming, including (but not limited to) dream-sending, dream manipulation, and protection from nightmares while sleeping.
To make a dream doll for sympathetic magic, mix a few pinches of powder with soft clay or melted candle wax and form the substance into a small human figure. Name the figurine for the person it is meant to protect, wrap it in cotton cloth, and tuck it under the mattress.
To increase the probability of prophetic dreams or visions, a small amount of Dream Dust may be combined with powdered incense and burnt before retiring to bed. Do not directly inhale large amounts of the smoke, and do not use this method if you are pregnant or nursing.
*= Use with caution. **= Do not use if pregnant or nursing.
