as a latina myself, I will answer you, mostly latin people has brown or black hair and dark or brown eyes like Selena. Selena´s father is latin and even if Selena really doesn´t speak spanish, I always see that people take her as one, even if she wasn´t raised in a spanish country or doesn´t speak our languages, but because his dad is mexican.

We could discuss this, but it´s another topic, regarless her background, Latin girls or any others girls who aren´t “white” don´t have blue or green eyes, blond hair, etc, but we grown up in a society with girls like Barbie or Taylor Swift or other american girls, so we upset with ourself, because we are never going to be able to look like them. When a girl like Selena, who is “latin”, changes something like her color eyes, young girls also start to think that they should, that brown eyes are not pretty enought, and that they would look much better with blue eyes. I hope you undestand my point of view, hair is easy to change, but I remember having classmates who were 14 years old and they were already with blue contact lenses because of that.

I'm a Latina as well and I can see why you think it's wrong for her to wear colored contacts because then it would influence other younger girls to do so as well, but I know many Latinas that have colored eyes and some are even gingers and also sorry if I ever came off rude that wasn't my intention at all.
