She had just moved to the city of New York, and she had heard there were all manner of strange people roaming the city, even in all hours of the night, but that was not a question she imagined hearing. "...Are you alright there, lad?" She asked in a lilting Irish accent, pushing her fingers through pin straight red hair, made piecy with gel, before sticking her hands in the pockets of light wash denim jeans. "Its 1995. January of 1995, in New York city. Most people wear a jacket this time of year. Especially at night."

I got called into a translation job and by the time I got to the hospital (maybe twenty minutes) the poor lad was already dead.
