I’m not a cartographer in the least of the sense, but this is more or less it.
((I’ve received a handful of questions about who can/can’t take part in this event, so I thought I would just make a tiny announcement!
I made this event with more of the Vocaloid askblog community in mind, but I don’t mind if others join in as well– I only have a few rules for Mods and Muns:
•Be kind and courteous to each other, please. Good communication is very, very important on a Mod-level.
•And this one falls in line with being courteous to me, but— PLEASE please please no Godmodding (here’s some links if you’re not sure what that is). It’s very rude, and takes a lot of the fun out of interacting with others. If you don’t know if what you’re doing would be considered that to someone, or if someone would be ok with something you’re doing— there is absolutely no harm in sending a tumblr DM/discord/Skype message to check and ask! It’s all in that good communication.
**One last thing– it isn’t a rule, but just a reminder! The tag has no spaces in it. This is because tumblr’s tagging system is… trash. You can tag however you want, but to make it less likely that your post gets mixed into other tags and make it more easily seen by those who don’t follow you, this is probably the best way to go about it.**

What what: A celebration that is heavily centered around New Years-- complete with food, gift-giving, stargazing, games... The whole 9 yards.
When: December 22nd to January 6th
Where: A beach, close to the ocean.
Tag: StarryNight2017 (no spaces!)
Date-Specific Events*:
-December 22nd-24th: Inviting Others/Arrival (Self-explanatory! The holiday is heavily focused on getting together with people. If your muse comes alone, that’s fine too-- I’m absolutely certain they won’t be the only ones. And what better time to meet new people?)
-December 25th-27th: Games (This includes some small booths that will be selling charms and trinkets! Kites will be available as well. There are some traditional games that can be found online (and these are just a handful of them)-- but you don’t need to feel restricted to these if you don’t want to be!)
-December 28th-30th: Food (Warm foods like soup, noodles and tea will be available on-site, as well as an attempt at mochi-making)
-December 31-January 4th: Stargazing and Resolutions (Self-explanatory! Meant to be a time of reflection. There also may be a bit of a surprise planned here! :) )
- Jan. 5th & 6th- Cleanup (Self-explanitory again. All things must come to an end, and that means cleaning things up-- or sneaking off... The choice is all yours.)

((Hello! This event is inspired by festivals within the game this blog takes inspiration from, along with a few others of similar nature in the series. It has recently come to my attention that mortals here enjoy some similar holidays to the ones I am familiar with. With this in mind, there is one in particular that I believe some of you may find entertaining.
Regardless of which way you choose, the purpose is to be able to spend time with those you care about and to celebrate the year together. I have.. gathered, many things that I saw in the festivals from my home in order to try to recreate this to the best of my abilities-- but it would obviously be wasted if I hoarded this to myself. So, if any of you have an interest in a holiday like this, this year it falls from December 22nd until January 6th. Be sure to dress warmly, and spread the news around-- word of mouth is amazingly effective.
(( I know the Winterloids thing is an event going on rn too, but if I did a different event (that’s a little more new years focused) with some date-based activities (as in like… doing x on Jan. 1, Jan.2, and so on) that started around December 23/24th and ended Jan 6th, would anyone be interested in that?))
Hm. Perhaps I am mistaken about the way your etiquette is here, but where I am from, asking things like this would be considered horrendously rude.
I’d prefer to keep my failures as unknown as possible– everyone knowing your mistakes truly destroys some of the allure of it all, don’t you agree?
As far as “friends” go, I have a small group of other immortals I don’t mind to share company with.
Of course, the Goddess is somewhat “M.I.A.” as of right now, thanks to W.P.s handiwork…
Not that I’m too worried about what’s happened. They’ve fought like this before, frankly.
