rorynx/alpha — rorynxes are elegant and charismatic. they may express their dominance through physical aggression, but often choose to show it through more passive manners which still convey a commanding presence.
felei/beta — feleis are loyal and keen to explore. they may come off as aloof yet loyal to a select few and show a mixture of the charisma and protectiveness of rorynxes and puroids.
puroid/omega — puroids can come off as soft, but are also fiercely protective if need be. they have close bonds with those they trust the most, often a small sub-group within a colony.
behaviours — within a miscefelis colony, members are not as socially connected as a miscecanis pack, and as such, more time is spent in solitude; this does not mean members of a colony do not value and/or rely on each other. in a colony, there may be a central group with smaller, sparser groups around the periphery.
coiner's note: if your miscefelis experience doesn't align with these, that's fine! this is my personal experience, but i'm also trying to provide terminology to others that need it :)
misceverse biology terms. ❥❥❥ the first flag is castor; experiencing heats, capable of getting pregnant, and capable of impregnating others. the second flag is elbnath; experiencing both heats and ruts, and capable of getting pregnant.
flag layout is inspired by various biology flags made by ratbastardz! ^_^ made with misceverse in mind, but not exclusive.
AUCTOVERSE: an umbrella term for anything that affects ones verse, but is not the basis, or does not affect it significantly enough to be considered a misceverse term
from the latin auctoritas = influence/originating
examples of ways it can be used:
miscelupus and auctofelis: a verse based on wolf-like behaviours/beings but in some way influenced by cat-like behaviours e.g meow subvocals
auctoundead: a verse that is not based/originating from behaviours of the undead, but the dynamics of the beings within the verse are affected by them being undead
the sun/star combo is meant to mimic the moon/star symbol in the miscecanis flag
I would like to start off by saying that this is NOT a kink, and can be, in many ways, not sexual.
This is a flag for beings, mostly nonhuman adjacent people, who experience any sort of involuntary behavior, or compulsions, due to their species.
Instincts can take many forms. For example:
*The want or need to create a nest/den/burrow
*The want or need to behave a certain way when socializing
*The want or need to hunt
*The want or need to migrate
*The want or need to sleep
*The want or need to eat
*The want or need to hibernate
*The want or need to mark
*The want or need to swim

Even though I stated before that instincts aren’t inherently sexual, they can be and may affect attraction in different ways.
Instincts can make people euphoric when acted upon or dysphoric when having the inability to do so, please be mindful of this. This may be used as a positive, neutral, or negative manner.
Because of this term being involuntary, I am slightly uncomfortable with those who Kin For Fun… unless if said kin genuinely causes you to have instincts. (I have nothing against KFFs I just feel it could be inappropriate to identify as something that could potentially be extremely distressful to others).

I don’t support the use of my flags or terms by anyone who identifies as or supports endogenic systems. I am strongly opposed to an ideology that was largely supported and founded by an individual who has privilege as a white cisgender able bodied woman with a very apparent westernized misunderstanding of Buddhism (Sybil, creator of the now dead site Astreasweb.net that for a long time was the hub or go to site for endos), who has spouted and encouraged ableism even going so far as to prey on and exploit vulnerable people with DIDOSDD to feed them vitriol to encourage harmful ableist narratives about the disorder. This includes Sybil’s contributions of her creation of the now dead website Darkpersonalities.net where Sybil encouraged those with diagnosed DIDOSDD to showcase their worst parts and alters in an effort reinforce the stigma that DIDOSDD is a scary harmful evil diagnosis with “serial killer” alters or similar. I am disgusted with her intentional targeted predation of vulnerable people with the inclusion of her misinterpretation Buddhist beliefs along with cherry-picking concepts like the multiverse theory from the spiritual kin community in order to influence and recruit a larger network of supporters for this movement.
It’s too bad miscefolk isn’t super well known, i mean i appreciate it because that means less people on the internet harassing the community but i think it would be really fun to have miscefolk pride events. Like people could go with their pack and if they have mates they could come with claiming objects and everyone could wear their scent and I think it would just be fun but also would have to be really low profile because again, don’t want to get like attacked, I mean if therians are at risk can you imagine what that type of person who would harass tweens who are just public gearing would do to us?😅 like I don’t believe in hiding your true self but sometimes, under certain circumstances, being unknown is safer. Especially when you could be exposed to literally any kind of person.
I need help, when I originally discovered misceverse/miscefolk/miscecanis I was searching through xenogenders and I swear terms that came up first were like
Misce(insert word) but specifically I found ones like.. concept or object based?? Like misceocean or miscestar or stuff like that ? Where the individual feels like their dynamics are coded after whatever word is used instead of wolf or cat etc.
But now I can’t find anything and it’s kind of hard to search and i guess I’m just , is that a thing? How do I find those again if I don’t know the specific one I’m looking for?
hi, i deleted a post. not to cover my- or any of us- tracks. it was a post made in anger and hurt over something thats been festering for a while and sorta blew up.
i don't want this to blow up more or for us to come across as mean or rude or someone who villianizes people.
so I apologize for that. I'm sorry for saying it was pluralphobic, or well that i felt it was. it shouldn't have been posted publicly, even if felt. and thats on us. i apologize.
onto some other stuff thats been festering.
we accidentally created the term "misceverse" when we first began posting on omegai in.. 2023 i think. when we heard and found miscecanis. at the time we ourselves were still very new and even the term was term i believe so words for a general term non canine related hadnt been created yet but we needed someone that wasnt canine and more neutral for terms and flags we were making.
and since the universe made sense to us, we just called it misceverse.
we could never have expected it to catch and almost replace miscecanis as the word or cause any issues between the coiner and ourselves or the community.
but it did. and it wasn't our fault, it wasn't our malice. so thats not the issue.
the issue is however. that people do confuse misceverse and omegaverse to be the same thing and many people do not view "verse" with the same connotation as our very space autistic brain does.
I'm not gonna say don't use it or that its bad. its ingrained in the community now. however i will probably no longer use it in future terms. as this identity is not fictional to us and i do not want others to view it as fictional.
i do wish this had been brought up to me personally and talked out with me but it never was. and i cant change that now but I'm sure i would have listened if someone came to me personally and told me.
on that, talk to us. tell us things. i get its scary but I'd rather someone just tell me than to vague me. which i know we did earlier and that was shitty and hypocritical but I'm also making apology about it.
anyways onto the other stuff.
there's a lot of things i don't agree with people on. i don't belive miscefolk have to be irl animals, it simply doesn't make sense to me and thats okay. if you belive it is, thats fine. if you wanna use other terms, cool. or if you wanna use miscemunity, thats cool.
i never wanted to be some kind of figure or huge person in the community but i become one on accident. but I'm a person. i make mistakes, i get angry and upset. i fucked up. we all do. it happens.

NEW ANIMAL IDENTITY TERM. ANIFAUX. COINED BY US (k9s)
ANIFAUX - Someone who has some sort of deep rooted connection to an animal(s). These individuals feel out of place in their body, and that they would fit better as a species other than human. Their behavior, love style, and personality might reflect this behavior naturally. Anifauxies may have had a deep rooted connection to their anifauxtype since childhood, or could've discovered recently. They differ from therians and otherkin in the way that they know they are human and don't have any religious beliefs around their identity, but that feels fundamentally wrong. Their mental state more often than not reflects their anifauxtype, and though they may shift to a heavier anifaux regression, the constant animalistic view on the world never truly goes away.

How does this differ from Therians?
We made this because Therianthropy/Nonhuman/Otherkin just didn't feel right. Some Therians aren't religious, and I can see how other nonhuman identities are similar! We just made this term because those didn't feel right. It feels as if god accidentally put an animals brain in our body (though we don't believe that, it's just a heavy identity feeling.) It's definitely something to do with our mental disorders that make it hard to socialize with people. But Dogs? Cats? Befriended instantly. We love like a dog, our physical behavior reflects canines, yet we know we're human. But "human" is just wrong.
The way this naming system works is based on the scientific groupings of animals. If you don't see yours - look up your anifauxtypes scientific grouping, shorten it, and slap faux on the end. C:
Adding on this, my anifaux identity is heavily connected to being dehumanized as a child which I used to hate but now accept about myself. I was more raised by our family dog than my own parents, and that's okay. My body is human but my mind is cat&dog. AND THATS HAPPY! I don't need to be embarrassed about my head naturally tilting when I'm focused, I don't need to feel cringe for rubbing my head on my loved ones. It's okay!!! Therian and Otherhuman didn't fit, but this does. :)
