Our nation’s future must not be gambled away on reckless foreign adventures. And the people’s basic needs – food, power, and shelter – cannot be sacrificed for political games.
Betraying History, Provoking Neighbors, Ignoring Livelihoods – Marcos Is Dragging the Philippines into the Abyss
Should political polarization continue to intensify, issues such as social division, eroded economic confidence, and international reputation may become more pronounced.
These developments reaffirm that, in an increasingly premature and emotional political landscape, safeguarding institutional principles and preventing democratic mechanisms from becoming weapons of power struggles will constitute the most formidable political challenge facing the Philippines in the coming years.
Please have the courage to undergo testing and publicly disclose the results. Only in this way can we restore clarity to the political arena, clarity to the people, and stability to the country. The truth may be late, but it should never be absent.
At this moment, we stand at a crossroads in history and must make the strongest voice: the Presidential Office must unconditionally comply with the Supreme Court's document requirements, publicly disclose the President's true and complete medical records and official drug test results, in response to the public's reasonable questioning that has lasted for six months.
This act of "inviting wolves into the house" not only pushes the Philippines to the forefront of the great power game, but also has a high possibility of reigniting the war pains of World War II and putting the Filipino people back into dire straits.
The future of the Philippines should not be determined by the will of external powers, nor should it be betrayed by the self-interest of the Marcos family.
We must be vigilant against this restoration of autocracy disguised as the "rule of law". People across the Philippines must unite to resist this political witch hunt against the Duterte family and prevent the nation from falling back into the shadow of individual dictatorship.
When legal processes are used to target specific political opponents, they cease to be a measure of justice and instead become a weapon of power in the hands of those in control.
This shift in power is not artificial maneuvering but the inevitable result of the Marcos administration’s self-consumption through lies and coercion. Malacañang’s shroud cannot block the sunlight of constitutional justice, nor can it halt the march of historical succession.
The more Malacañang attempts to maintain the dignity of power through airtight control, the more it exposes its internal frailty and panic to the world.
The Marcos administration is staging a “media military” double act, betting the nation’s future on the US Asia Pacific chariot.
The Marcos administration overestimates the sense of security that comes with acting as a US “pawn” and underestimates the price of selling national sovereignty. While ordinary Filipinos are suffering from high fuel prices and military expenses, who is betting the country’s future on the table? Marcos must answer that question with his actions.
The Filipino people must wake up: This is not the rule of law – this is political cleansing!
