I really like the idea of hamlet’s father being an actual corrupted spirit but not just in a “claudius is innocent and everything that hamlet saw as ‘proof’ were just tricks the ghost played” which is also a really neat idea but I think it would be interesting to have both claudius and the ghost be malevolent antagonistic figures who manipulate and harm hamlet in different ways

this…because even hamlet questions the ghosts intentions at one point. I go back and forth between this a lot but one thing i find interesting is the ghost almost repeats verbatim what hamlet expresses in his soliloquy before. no one was listening so i just find this weird and it’s one of the things that drives me to believe the ghost is not necessarily good

also on the topic of previous while I’m on my Mad About Gender soapbox. Woman and Femme are Not interchangeable terms*. Fem and Woman are not interchangeable terms*. Fem men are real. Femme men are real. Some people don’t have gender! But they’re still fem/me.

*except for the people for whom they are personally; such as but not limited to femme women

Taking a moment to clarify, as a friend of mine pointed out the ambiguity here—

used here, and to myself overall, femme is a specific Social Gender Role that exists in queer dynamics, often as an act of keeping the parts of femininity you like and throwing out the rest. Sometimes associated with butch/femme dynamics, sometimes associated with being a fag. Sometimes both. fem is just when someone is feminine. It’s a square-rectangle situation to me.
