Q: Sinner has also taken up golf, is that another rivalry for you?

A: A lot of times when I see him in the locker room and I also see him with his team, which is just getting started, we talk a lot about golf, about the courses we've played, the ones we still need to play, and honestly, we have a great time. We always say the same thing. We always say, "Let's see when we can," or "Let's see if between tournaments—or even during the same tournament—there's some time to go play." I'm not training for skiing, but I am for karting, we're going to compete in karting. (article & video)

[on watching the pool jump]: "Yesterday, I was just going to my room and saw him jump, so I thought, 'Well, I'm going to stick around to see how it plays out, right, and really take it in.' But well, honestly I have a lot of admiration for him, and I think it's also a great way to show the world that even though we have a really good rivalry on the court, even though we’re fighting for the same things, even though we’re basically fighting for the same thing, we can still be good people and have a great relationship off the court." I was honestly surprised that Jannik came to Monte Carlo to play after Indian Wells, Miami, and the entire swing, but obviously that speaks to his great physical condition and what he’s capable of. Hopefully we’ll get to play here in Monte Carlo—who knows—but obviously we haven’t played each other once this year yet, I hope we’ll face each other on clay. (x)
