rewatching bleach lately

So, here's a new song! I talked a bit bout it on stream, but, the overarching theme is defiance. specifically, about walking a path that society thinks is difficult, unwise, impossible, etc..

The verse and chorus is very much striking against it and the bridge is more about how easy it is to fall into a "cold freeze" in that kinda environment... makes sense no?

The character is, of course, a fiery engine. Fitting for charging ahead for these... somewhat automotive (train?) themed bits. Maybe I'll talk a bit about him if there's curiosity?

Anyhow, lemme know what you guys think of the music -s

ahem, yes... the lyrics are roughly about embracing the things you fear and how there's a certain strength that comes from that... at least once in a while, you know? that there's something to be gained from looking from your inner shadows sometimes

well, besides the more literal version... spirit haunting you deciding to join hands with you on halloween night to have fun for once eh?

Redline

It's the theme for an engine/fire spirit/(catboy) hybrid, so accordingly I sought to capture a fiery energy while also having all that techy future-ness.

A great tip for doing that is by using bright synth arps haha! (as for fire vibe, just run all your things through amps and distortion. clipping is is like a burnt edge, me says)

Character: The Regent of Swords (art and music)

one of the characters i made for an unreleased story, beyond human (of which i've released some songs i've made for already)

An intro that's focused on the ... austere and the stoic... with wistful undertones? Followed by the killing machine type beat in the latter half LOL

Below: The Regent of Swords and some floating swords. Though she can manipulate her glass into a myriad of shapes, she enjoys sculpting them into actual swords.

In an era where magic is refined over thousands of years into different styles, she is the master of magical telekinesis of swords made from crystalline glass, hence, her title of the Regent of Swords.

Of course, given that she is one of the few genetically engineered superhuman cyborgs left behind from a hyper-advanced technology from a long-destroyed Earth, it stands to reason that she is one of the strongest fighters in the galaxy. But not only is it her physical predisposition, but also her dedication to mastery and a true love of her craft as an art form that has refined her prowess.

After all, when you have superhuman abilities, the ancient techniques of sword-wielding from Earth no longer stand as efficient uses of physics and body. It would rather be an expression of style.

Like the other cyborgs of her generation, she's been assigned as the most powerful guard to a planet. She is unquestioning, stoic, focused... good traits for such a duty, perhaps. But being so distant for so long, it may lead one to wonder what time's unstoppable erosion could do to one's humanity?
