*There hasn't been any other heartless swarming him* *Suddenly there's a loud thundering noise* *He decides to head outside and see what it is*
*HOLY MACKEREL!*
*he almost drops his keyblade, but clutches onto it at the last moment* *sees another keyblade wielder fighting it*
he's pretty good.. but i guess even he needs help...
*it takes a while to get there, but roxas runs until he's out of breath, and then pushes himself to approach the giant heartless* *he gets there just in time to watch the mysterious keyblade wielder freeze the flames*
*he nods to himself and gets to work on hacking at the heartless. its tough, and every swing that landed into the thick frosting provided an opportunity for the smaller heartless to attack him* *he had to rationalize what to fight and when...*
*soon enough, the younger wielder got into a rhythm, able to manipulate his keyblade in certain ways so that it stuck in the frosting for less time, and smacked the small heartless surrounding him on his backswings*
*the ice was melting... oh no...* *once it thawed completely, he cast more blizzard magic at the flaming body atop the cake* *he hoped it would be enough to hold off the flames until they were finished with it* *he could sense it getting much weaker ..... or maybe it was just cold*
*shrugs off the thought* *before he attacks again, he chugs an ether* *he makes a few more strategic swings at the heartless* *it stumbles a bit, but it isn't going down just yet* *sighs as he starts making a chore out of killing these things again* *what is it all for, anyways? why are they even here?*

*falls back* *downs a couple potions before getting back on his feet and preparing himself to keep fighting* *the heartless looks really weak now, if he can just get in a few more hits, it'll be down in no time!*
*braces himself as he runs towards the heartless* *he tries to stab it through the middle* *he succeeds, but winds himself by doing so* *takes a few steps back out of the way... the statue is starting to crumble*
*smashes the cookies its standing on as much as he can while dodging the heartless' weak attempts at attacks* *he finally lands an ending blow to the statue's head, and watches the whole thing fall to bits before it disappears*
*takes a deep breath and watches as the last heartless' heart floats pitifully up towards the great somewhere* *sits back down and takes a breather... it seems no more heartless are coming around to surprise him* *he decides to take a nap now that all of this is seemingly over*

*It isn't long before Roxas, wandering about the mansion, runs into even more heartless* *groans*
*summons his keyblade and glances over the four that appeared nearby* *they're similar to the heartless from before, a prank bouquet, a white rose, a tower macaron, and a white chocolate statue* *he knows these will be more difficult - they're recolors. thats what recolors meant in videogames, right?*
*he harnesses his strength, preparing to take most if not all of these heartless down in just a short time. it's not something he's done in quite a while, though, timing himself.*
*takes a deep breath and charges towards the macaron. he should have been preparing much more for this. while he knows the flower heartless might have a shot at poisoning him, he has a plan to get to them before they have a chance.* *his keyblade dents the tower macaron, but the hardness of melted chocolate on its shell isn't letting it budge quite as easily as the last macaron heartless.* *whacks it a few more times, finally breaking through and inflicting the tower macaron with heavy damage* *but its not over yet*
*the tower macaron still isnt down* *swings his keyblade skillfully, slicing through one of the confections right where it hurts - the soft middle* *its too much for the tower macaron, and it quickly fades out of existence, leaving only a lonely heart behind* *the heart floats off somewhere*
*next is the flower heartless* *he knows exactly what to do here, and uses some fire magic to take them out quickly* *he has to use it twice... he's not very practiced in area damage when it comes to fire magic, so all he can do is aim it towards one heartless at a time* *he watches the bouquet and rose burn for a bit, but then leave them to take the burn damage while he focuses on the most dangerous threat of the group*
*maybe this heartless is the one he should have focused on first. its big and strong and scary* *notices the cookies piled underneath it* *this one has a weak spot, unlike the chocolate statue before it* *he only swung at it a few times before noticing.. it's too late to move out of the way of its attack*
*he's delivered a swift jab to the gut by the white chocolate statue's fork*
*whacks them both with ease, collecting the materials*
*he doesnt know what this stuff is but it looks cool!*

*he’s pissed off, actually. he didn’t get to sleep well because of all this racket, and now the heartless are gonna pay for it*

*goes in swinging yet again* *this time, his judgment is much better and his aim is much more swift. he couldnt fathom what reason there could be for heartless to appear here, but he didn’t let that thought bring his attention away from the heartless he was beating down* *the circus balloon was an easy pop once he cast some thunder magic. now all that was left was the pink possessor*
*just look at that thing with its twisted smile, floating around like there are no sins in the world* *roxas charges at it with everything he can muster for the moment, impaling it and turning the key for extra oomph. that wasnt enough though. he would need more strength*
*he pulled the keyblade out and gave it a few more swift whacks, knocking the umbrella aside and watching it dissipate before continuing to beat down the flowery pink monster.*

*bashes the prize egg with his fist while he’s half asleep. how dare another heartless disturb his beauty rest*
*Wakes up* *He has to rub his eyes twice and slap himself in the face to make sure he isn’t dreaming*

*Those really are heartless! In his room!* *Falls out of bed with just his pajamas on and scrambles to stand up, then summons his keyblade, bashing the heartless in wildly* *no strategy whatsoever.*
*eventually he gets in the swing of things and wakes up, slashing at the heartless skillfully, like the old days. gee... he’s really rusty, but at least now he can practice in case there’s going to be more heartless around!*
*the first heartless he gets rid of is the creeper bouquet, and then soon after that, the red rose. maybe it was his sweet tooth, but he wanted to save the food-disguised heartless for last. he notices, though, that after defeating the first two, the hearts they were carrying floated away. it’s nostalgic, and he wonders for a second whether there’s a Kingdom Hearts somewhere, or if the hearts will return to their proper owners.*
*the distraction doesn’t last long before he charges towards the bitter macaron. the shell of it crunches under the force of the metal keyblade, and it’s not long until that heartless dissipates, too.* *the last threat is the chocolate statue. he had to work to avoid it, but after a while, defeated the fondued gargoyle*
ha.. no sweat...!
*flops down on the floor in exhaustion* *he falls back asleep almost instantly, and his keyblade vanishes*
