I thought I was done with this chapter but Byakuya is not only fucking mean as shit but also probably five.
That seemed to deserve a post.
Yoruichi sure made an interesting face there.
Also, did Ichigo just like magically figure out how to use the rare artifact to Superman his way to the plot?
Why do I have the feeling it’s going to severely weaken him at the most inopportune moment so Byakuya can give him a once-over and a “Hmph” of disdain and then take like twenty minutes/two-ish chapters to explain the theory of Soul Society artifacts just so we can round out Ichigo’s education some more since I’m sure there are at least a few subjects the entire rest of the Gotei 13 haven’t gotten around to teaching him yet.
Seriously, they should probably consider switching focii. They clearly make a better mentorship program than defending military force.

Sometimes Ichigo seriously scares me.
He’s so casual when he’s pissed to the point of extreme violence sometimes and it’s freaky as fuck. He doesn’t even bother talking to these guys. He just appears, slams a guy across the room without a word, takes the phone from his unconscious body and uses it to calmly request medical assistance (and look at his face in that first panel, he’s just like a regular kid asking his friends if it was pepperoni or sausage they wanted on the pizza but he’s about to break people)
(he does all of this and it’s not until that last panel that he actually appears sinister)
I love him.
