Poor-choices Wallet
In desperate need to replace my dearly-loved kitschy wallet that was literally crumbling, yet not able to find anything that I would be willing to spend money on, I decided to make my own with whatever fabric I already had for free.
Beloved wallet falling to bits. So sad.
I ended up being able to follow this bi-fold wallet tutorial (amazing for a terrible seamstress, like myself), and hauling out this awful home decor fabric that I had ordered many years ago with the original intent of making a tote bag. The patterns were WAY bigger than what I had imagined when I placed the order. When they arrived, I thought they were hideous and hid them in a closet in hopes that they’d return themselves. Fortunately/unfortunately, they never did. So I brought them out to see the light of day once more since I didn’t have fusible interfacing that would allow me to use any of my stash of pretty fabric for this wallet. Turns out, the heavy-weight fabric was still ugly.
Ew. Poor life choices. Coffee mug for scale.
After the eye-sore fabrics were cut and folded into pieces, this wallet ended up being far cuter than I had imagined. Of course, I had to include my novice signature of wavy lines, and I accidentally (though, appropriately) ended up using the piece with the decapitated bird for the outside of the wallet instead of for the liner. That being said, this is not the worst sewing project I’ve ever done. Especially since I haven’t used my sewing machine in an incredibly long time.
I designed this cross stitch a couple of years ago when I was in the dark trenches of roller derby that I had thought I’d crawl out of with a little inspiration (turns out, I was overly optimistic even in my pessimism).
Skeletons in the closet
With roller derby retirement and summer coming to an end, I decided to unlock my craft closet and, after the dust storm settled, laid eyes on alllll the mostly-/ half-/not-even-close finished projects I had in store for myself.

My Knitters Against Swatches expansion arrived! Now I need knitting friends to play Cards Against Humanity with that will get the joke…. #horribleknitters #cardsagainsthumanity #knitting #rebellegirls
Is this for real? I need this in my life! Where can I get it? Cards Against Humanity is so much fun anyway, but this is just beyond perfect!

DIY Edward Scissorhands Costume Tutorial from Little Inspiration.
You can make this DIY Edward Scissorshands Costume with supplies from your local craft and thrift store following this detailed tutorial.
The scissor hands are made out of gloves with plastic knives and lots of belts and studs are used to create this DIY Edward Scissorhands Costume. Little Inspiration also gives advice on how to make this costume in an easier way i.e. instead of leather just wear black.
Children running with scissors. Best Halloween costume ever.

More spookyness! OoooOOooOoOoOOOOooo!!
As I’d mentioned earlier, I found the witch and candy corn kitty by the original artist on DeviantArt, and just had to do them too. So I did!
Bonus picture of them in our kitchen window, with a lovely amount of glare!
