Margot walked out of the school with the other students, looking around. It was the end of the school year, and summer was just around the corner, so Margot didn't have much to worry about.

She walked over to a random bench, looking at the clouds peacefully until someone poked her shoulder.

"Hey, are you new?"

A soft voice asked, the girl was short and curvy with long brown hair tied in a small ponytail so her hearing aids could be visible

"I'm Mackenzy Duchanne but feel free to call me Kenzy"

She looked up at Kenzy. "Yeah I am, I started at this school a month ago." She said with a slight smile.

"I'm Margot Lennard." She introduced.

Jasper laughed. He was having the time of his life. He’d had a great night-lighting stuff on fire, finding small animals and testing his knife…the usual. He laughed manically as he walked. Humming happily to the tune of “Sweet Caroline”

Jasper slowed his brisk pace. Noticing the glint of something in the bushes. Metal? An animal’s eyes? What was it?

he approached. Slowly. Not wanting to spook it if it was alive.

it wasn’t.

Jasper stumbled back

He ran. He ran, and ran, and ran, and ran. Until he stumbled upon the nearest house, knocking on the door.

he knew it looked bad. His hands stained with blood, his hair rumpled, his eyes mad.

"Yes? Who is it?" Margot asked before opening the door.

Her eyes widened. "Oh. Hi?" She said confused. She hadn't seen Jasper before in the past few weeks that she was living here. "..you definitely got yourself into some trouble." She opened the door a bit more, letting Jasper inside.

Jasper panted and stumbled inside. Shaking in fear for the first time in his life. “T-t-the woods…missing k-kid….” He muttered
