“Really!?” She perked up. Caroline was a sucker for anyone that was willing to help the animals as much as she was. “Are you wanting to go to school for anything environment related, or animals? That’d be a nice thing to get into.” She stated nodding her head. Catching sight of his fishy face she laughed and made her own. “Well great! Guess we’re going to visit some fish today!” Biting her lip she frowned softly.” You didn’t stick with just on family?” 

Stitch shrugged, thinking about it. “I could go to school for it, honestly I just want to find something I’m really passionate about, and I’m not sure that’s it.” he explained to her, grinning as she began to laugh. “Not until I was ten, I met Lilo then and got adopted into her family. Before that it was just a bit of here and there.”

“Really? It’s that simple?” She asked, furrowing her eyebrows as he looked up at him. “Shrimp burger? That sounds both intriguing and disgusting.” She laughed, shaking her head as she thought about it some more. “It’s weird how different countries have different things… Although I guess the resources they have does make a big difference.”

“Yeah, we should try it together sometime, go out for a drink, test my theory.” he suggested, giving her a small smile and a shrug of his shoulders. “But the question is, is it disgusting enough for it to be worth trying?” Stitch asked her, wiggling his eyebrows. “It is weird, but I found it weird when I moved from Ireland to the US and the portion size was huge.”

“Awesome! What’s your favorite animal? I’m ready to see the polar bears, those are gonna be awesome. Have you ever seen a bear that wasn’t in the zoo? Like, a real live one? I have!” He laughed. “You’re right - they’re always up to something, especially the monkeys. Once, I witnessed a man getting his chips stolen by a monkey. It was hilarious.“

Stitch blinked and took a moment, hoping he was able to get a word in. “Yeah, bears. No, I’ve only seen them in zoos, but I’m not sure I’d want to be face to face with one. I’m pretty good at throwing a punch but I am sure I couldn’t fight a bear off.” he joked, quickly carrying on with what he was saying. “Monkeys are probably my favourite, or gorillas. Anything in the primate family probably, they just have such individual personalities and I love that.”

Lottie stopped in her tracks at the sound of the grumble and placed her hand on her own stomach, thinking that it had come from her. At the sound of the man’s voice she turned on her heels and smiled. “Food! Yes, please! I don’t know how I could go so long without eatin’, but I guess I got too caught up in my shoppin’… Where to?”

“Beats getting caught up in partying, as least if you shop you wake up with new things instead of a hangover.” Stitch joked, smiling back at her. “Sounds like you need something quick and easy if you’re as hungry as me.”

“I think I had a bit too much New Years night to be honest. It’s a once a year type celebration though. I mean if you started the year sober. good on you - but… I preferred completely out of it.” he laughed a bit. “It’s weird? Dude you’re not selling this thing properly” he laughed shaking his head. “First place we see? Keep it random and hope to find a hole in the wall treasure.”

“I’m just being honest,” he admitted “I don’t want you to go in expecting great things, if you aren’t used to it then its hard to get into it.” Stitch nodded in agreement, “Yep, as soon as we see a sign with the word sushi we go for it.”

“Dessert actually.” He grinned, looking at the other guy. “I think I’m growing obsessed with tempura, ¡está pero buenísimo!”

“Dessert before main? Thats more my speed, let’s do it!” he nodded, smiling across. “Yeah I’ve heard tempura is very.. bueni...? Very good.” he added, stumbling a little over the words.

“I’ll give you that one. I don’t drink all the much, so I’m not completely sure what I’m talking about half the time.” he laughed. “Huh.. well I’ll have to give it try sometime then if it’s better than Sushi. First I have to actually get past the sushi liking part.” With a grin Manny started to lead the way.  

“I cut down on my drinking, but its a new year so I let myself celebrate a little. Or maybe a lot.” he said, biting his lip. “Sure thing, next time I head back home you’re welcome to head over and try some. But it is weird. Raw fish has an odd texture, plain and simple.” Stitch explained as he followed along. “You know a good place to go? Or are we just heading to the first place we see?”

“Slowly? I’ll have to step up my game.” Drakken looked down at his watch and sighed to make a point that he was bored with their current conversation. “Could we perhaps walk and argue at the same time, or is that too complicated for you?”

Stitch was getting more agitated by the second but wasn’t allowing himself to give in just yet. Drakken’s question was a hard one, carry on and allow himself to get worked up, or step away and show weakness. “I can walk.” he decided, taking the lead and heading across the room. “Easy enough to argue without my fists.”

Caroline nodded happily. “I’m keen on all things animal honestly. I want to have my own wild life rehabilitation center when I’m older.” She grinned. “I’ve heard the aquarium is beautiful here! I would love to go. I mean if that’s alright with you?” She asked looking up at him as she played with the over sized sleeves. Carolines heart clenched a bit. It always made her sad to know someone didn’t have their actual parents. Though, hearing him his foster parents sounded amazing. “It just seems like such a great place.” 

“That sounds like such a great plan, when you open it I’m available to help out.” he agreed, enjoying hearing about Caroline’s plans. “I don’t have much of a solid plan, I just know it involves as much travelling as possible.” Stitch explained. “Yeah, I’d love to, fish are fun!” he laughed, making a fishy face as he looked down to her. “It is! I managed to go to a few different places as a kid, jumping around family to family had its perks”

“Teach me your ways, please? I’ve figured out when to stop to where I don’t get absolutely smashed… but hangovers are another world.” She laughed. “Oooh, good point.” She said, following one step behind him. 

“What you gotta do is drink a glass of water between every drink and then you should wake up feeling pretty okay.” he explained, beginning to stroll along the street. “I bet they have some pretty weird things on the menu at McDonald’s, I heard something about a shrimp burger.”

Caroline made a face and quickly shook her head. “To snack on! The little goldfish crackers! Oh my goodness.” She laughed covering her mouth. “I would love a pet goldfish though, while on the topic. The ones with the poofy cheeks to be exact. Oh! Or have you seen the little neon fishies?” She giggled. “You’ve been to Paris?” She asked with a small gasp. “How was it?” Nodding she grinned. “Perfect! We can just eat a whole bunch and then walk it all off.” 

Stitch laughed, running his hands through his hair. “That makes a whole lot more sense!” he said, smiling at the giggling girl. “Well, if you’re so keen on fish then why don’t we just head on over to the aquarium after lunch?” he asked her. Just another thing he was keen to do and he might as well do it with someone thats enthusiastic. “Yeah, my foster parents took me when I was really young, I don’t remember much, but I know I enjoyed it.”

“I think that’s with any alcoholic drink, buddy. I mean I used to hate vodka. After a few shots it starts to taste better and better.” He laughed shaking his head. “Is poke fish as well? Or is made from some sort of other meat?” He tilted his head with a bit of curiosity. “ Looking at Stitch he laughed. “You’re gonna be trying all the different combos with me buddy. Maybe we just need to get some sake in you.” 

“I don’t know about that, some alcohol tastes pretty okay.” he shrugged. “Yeah, raw fish. We have it with all sorts of stuff, just like sushi. But I’m pretty sure its better than sushi.” he joked. “Sake and sushi sounds like a wonderful and dangerous plan, lets do it.”

“Not too much… Just enough, but not the best morning after.” She said, laughing softly. “That sounds good enough for me!” Jasmine said, standing from her chair. “Lead the way!”

“I’ve had way too many of those mornings, but I’ve learnt how to make them easier.” he shrugged. “If we can’t find anything greasy there’s always McDonald’s,” he joked, leading her outside.

“Oh! Well, in that case. I’m tiny, you can just shove me in a suitcase. I prefer to have gold fish and a few juice boxes in there to survive the trip.” She giggled a bit at her little joke. “There is a lot to do around here though. I don’t blame you for wanting to the take the trip back. I have fingers crossed my next trip lands me in Pairs, or Rome.” She sighed happily at the thoughts of traveling. “Want to go there after lunch? Might as well right?” 

Stitch looked at her a little confused. “Is the goldfish for company or for snacking on?” he asked, laughing to himself. “Paris is great but I haven’t been for a long time, I’d definitely join you in either place.” he told Caroline enthusiastically. “Well we have the rest of the day, might as well fill it with as much stuff as possible.”

“Oh right, I’m terribly sorry. How rude of me.” Drakken rolled his eyes at the command, glancing down at the man’s fists. “Still battling that anger problem I see. All you have to do is ask and I could refer you to a professional that could help you with that. I hear punching isn’t the best way to deal with problems.”

Stitch forced himself to visibly relax, uncurling his fists slowly, but his gaze remaining strong. “I don’t need help and even if I did I’d never ask you.” he huffed, raising an eyebrow, almost in disbelief at what the other was saying to him. “Certain problems require it, you’re slowly becoming one of those problems.”

“As always, man.” Jock smiled brightly, he had just served himself up on some turkey and mashed potatoes. “Gotta tell ya, food’s damn good ‘ere.”

“I need to try more, I’ve mostly just been on the candy since I’ve got here.” he smiled, slightly embarrassed. “I’ve found out you can’t really fill up on that stuff after all.”

Jasmine looked up from her seat, squinting up at him. She had thoroughly enjoyed the festivities of the new year and was seriously regretting them now. “As long as it’s something greasy and non-spicy, that sounds incredible.”

Stitch laughed, looking down at her. “Someone looks like they had too much fun, luckily I recovered pretty quickly. But yes, I’m not an expert on Japanese food but there must be something that works.”
