Here is the most recent update of my cross stitching from Thanksgiving when I removed the frame for a photo. I had a scare with this piece going missing, but it has now been located and the pit in my stomach is filled. Even the seemingly most simple piece of monochrome stitching has been with me through countless hours of plotting, scheming, devotion to stitching, and several seasons of binge-worthy television. Hopefully there will be more frequent updates to follow.

I had an interesting revelation today. Someone posted about some charts for sale somewhere and I went browsing and found all these neat antique samplers people were selling. The thing that stood out to me was how many holes and flaws all these things had, and how we’re all such perfectionists that we’d toss a whole project and start over if something like that happened. What will our works be worth to antique collectors 100+ years from now? Should we be more vigilant about keeping archives of all the history behind our work (physically, digitally)?

Fun day visiting Solvang! They had tons of penny machines. I think I counted 32 and put the rest leftover from the beach towns in the little album. The ostrich farm was neat and there was a rainbow one direction then a pretty sunset the other direction. It was gorgeous weather for walking around.

Penny haul #2. Note the kite shop in Morro Bay had the most adorable dime machine. We also got the token from the aquarium. Ragged Point was gorgeous. Also checked out the elephant seals doing their entertaining shenanigans on the beach. Future adventures further up the coast to be determined.
