Listen to ST. MARKET COMPILATION 2 by Kezz.Imagine #np on #SoundCloud
Something I have noticed in the last few months is that listeners like to know as much about the artist as possible. If you have noticed most of the time that we listen to interviews is so we can get insight and see how they think about certain subjects. For better or worse it has become essen
Our very first blog right up. What a year. special thanks To Royal Cortez for taking the time to write something beyond great. means a lot. could not have been any happier. link available for reading.Ā
Compilation 2 Arrives SEP 21, 2017.Ā āThis Feeling...Is FamiliarāĀ
What this represents Is, obstacles and challenges that seem to appear over In our lifetime and what we have to do on a daily basis to get through them. A battle. With this project. we hope to impact those feelings and make another world come together with sounds and expressions, we thank you.

Saying goodbye to the ST.MARKET house this month. Tons of growing and learning and the first 3 shows took place In the home. We say farewell with one last show from the whole St.Market roster, Thanks to all of the supporters and for all the attends.Ā
(Sui Blue) NEW TRACKĀ āDIVEā By Sui Blue.
NO WORD LIMIT : Illuminating collected works and experiences of Tucson creatives in their own words. Presenting KEZZ, founder of the St. Market creative collective of Tucson, AZ.
MARQUEZ ANDREW āKEZZā [ON SOUND & VISION] "I produce a little here and there, some material has been released. Some is just sitting around. The vision I have for it is just for the listener to escape reality. Realize the power you have as an individual. Embrace emotion of all types. Thatās all I want."
"I AM NOT A DJ NOR WILL EVER CLAIM TO BE." "I express myself through music and if It feels right to you, let me know. Dance, smile or something. If someone isn't feeling something Iām playing... I will make sure to have a song they love and will move to. Doing this whole āDJā shit, I learned that I never want an individual left out. I want everyone In the room to scream lyrics or dance their asses off to.ā
[INFLUENCES I] "Music has been an everyday therapeutic session with myself since about 2009. I can say things felt more relatable with certain artists. It felt like the best company. No one's judging, just nothing but the track you are listening to and what you feel from it." "Now, one of the biggest influences that hit me prob in middle school was Trent Renzor, frontman from NINE INCH NAILS. I had grew strongly depressed and not knowing who I was. Young and in middle school, you donāt really know shit. āWITH TEETHā had released and it just felt like this album had understood everything that I was going through and that I wasnāt even close to being alone." "THE MISFITS helped me a lot. Glen Danzig sang about horrible shit and made it sound so lovely. The vision he painted and the tone along with the band. Fucking phenomenal. A FIRE INSIDE āSING THE SORROWā was another gem that was a hand-me-down from an uncle of mine. I heard that CD on repeat on a shitty ass CD player. āBLEED BLACKā was the track that made me feel, yet again. Not alone. I didnāt have to explain to no one. Someone got it." Nine Inch Nails, "With Teeth" (2005)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLz9e5wAbS4 Glen Danzig - 1992 Headbangers Ball Interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO_KZdcwANc AFI, "Sing the Sorrow" (2003) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXDFXTbjEJY
[INFLUENCES II] "Years passing. ā09 ā10ā 11ā were my golden years for music. First, TORO Y MOI, āCAUSERS OF THISā album. WASHED OUT, NEON INDIAN. āCHILLWAVEā is what people called It. These groups made me realized not to take shit so serious and enjoy life. The lyrics could be sad, but the tone was set straight and made It enjoyable." "Then, My final discovery. KID CUDI, āMAN ON THE MOON: THE END OF DAY.ā This is where music became the only thing I trusted in this world. āSOUNDTRACK 2 MY LIFE,ā āMY WORLD,ā āCUDI ZONE.ā Life shifted. I was going through a lot of shit. This album held me down along with Cudiās other future albums. But what led me to know that Cudi was going to be my fav rapper was āMAN ON THE MOON.ā This fucking song saved my life, brought up my mood, just made everything better. It was a wrap at that point." "My influences grow everyday, but I really have to feel the artist. TORO Y MOI, NIN, THE MISFITS, KID CUDI, TYLER, THE CREATOR, KING KRULE. Easy picks, hands down." Toro y Moi, "Causers of This" (2010) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6psUIMAuT9Q Kid Cudi, "Man on the Moon: The End of Day" (2009) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrwcrXcaua8
[EXPERIENCES/LESSONS LEARNED I] "So far, with creating St. Market last year, it has been a hell of a ride. From doing DIY Shows, creating the flyers, promoting each other, even getting our very own filters for Snapchat, to now playing a good handful of venues in and out of Tucson, it has been fucking crazy. I couldn't express how proud I am of each artist on my roster. They all work so hard, have moved from states, to feel like they have a home with creating. All I wanted was freedom of creation and expression for each of these guys. Iāve seen the shit they have created In front of me and I canāt say anything else but wow. I knew that something had to be created and done for all of us to link and express. Learn. Build. Iāve had so much great memories with these guys. All the support has been amazing. Personal messages, face to face conversations. I didn't imagine this happening. I am truly thankful and blessed to have grown as a person and for the rest of the team. S/O you guys. More is just around the corner." ST. MARKET COMPILATION - PRESENCE https://soundcloud.com/kezz-imagine/sets/st-market-compilation-presence
[EXPERIENCES/LESSONS LEARNED II] "Lessons learned for sure have been: Donāt be scared...period. If you really wanna learn something or do something. Fucking do it and donāt give a fuck what anyone has to say. You have one lifetime and wasting talent is the biggest fucking slap in the face you could give yourself. So do It." "One of my favorite quotes I came across In ā12 was, 'Success comes to those who are not afraid to fail.' So, please run with that, figure out what you are good at, find It and go with It. Believe In yourself. The minute you second-guess. You fucked up. Donāt be so hard on yourself. and just because everyone is doing something, does not mean you have to. Explore more."
"That Is what I learned. Thank you for reading."
