Here’s my contribution for Mermay 2018 ~ And just in time too. 😆 I redrew my old Mermay piece from last year, which was of my Pisces oc. Wanted to use this as an opportunity to apply what I’ve been studying in my art class (thinking in terms of shapes and planes in relation to lighting/shadow), and I really like how this turned out. 😊 What do you all think? Which version do you prefer?

This is my first digital art post in like... a month? Maybe longer? A lot has happened in my life since then that I won’t get into. But I’m ok to start making art regularly again so thank you everyone for your patience. 😭💗 My top priority is of course to finish my Valentine’s Day comic lol. But I’ll also be posting independent pieces here and there just for some variety. Also Fanart Friday is still gonna be a thing, so look out for those posts. 🤗

Part 4/11? Part 4 is up! Sorry this took so long, I felt a bit art blocked regarding how I should’ve gone about drawing the scenes + writing the dialogue. This comic has just been one big experiment for me so I’ve been adding/removing things as I go along. 😂 I’m not super proud of this chapter/part since it was the most difficult one so far, but I’m still learning I guess. ;w; Anyway, hope you all enjoyed this regardless. ;0

Part 3/11? Part three at last! :> This and the next part will be a sort of bridge to the climax. Will Valentine-kun succeed in winning Winter-chan’s heart? We won’t find out for a while depending on how long it takes me to post these, haha. xD Anyway, hope you’re all enjoying this series so far. I’m experimenting a lot with color palettes here, so while I’m not super satisfied with how this turned out, it has been good practice. 😋
Part 2/11? (*Kouhai = underclassman) Done with part two of this Valentine’s Day comic! I can’t believe how long it takes just to place the word bubbles in each panel. 😲 I feel like l’m learning so much about the comic making process by doing this hahaha. I hope the words aren’t too small here. I’m trying to find that perfect balance where it’s easy enough to read without you having to squint your eyes at it. 😅 Hopefully I’m getting closer to achieving that. 👀💦 Anyway, part 3 won’t be coming out until after Valentine’s Day, but I promise it’ll be worth the wait (I hope). 🌚💦
(To be continued...) Part 1/11? To celebrate the day of chocolate and love, I’ve decided to make a multi-part 4-koma comic starring my yandere oc Valentine-kun and my season gijinkas. This is literally my first attempt at making a complete comic so I’m sorry if it’s not great. 😆😭 Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to finish all the parts until after Valentine’s Day so I hope that’s ok haha. But yeah, tell me what you think of this. I’m open for feedback on how I can improve since storytelling isn’t my strong point. 😊 This is sort of a test to see if I’m capable of finishing comic to the end hahaha...💦
My entry for Aericchi‘s 1k follower art contest on Instagram~ I tried to play around with lighting (sunrise in the background) in this one, but it just looks like I made the drawing too dark hahaha. Anyway, the two people in the drawing are Lilith and Axe from the webtoon “I Hate that I Love you”, and it is my secret wish to see them being cute twin sibs more often. xD Anyway, hope you all like this. 👀✨

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21): “The Archer”
Also known as the “Free Spirited Athlete”, “Hyperactive Jock”, “Your bestest best friend”, and “The overly optimistic motivational one in the friend group who keeps everyone’s morale up”.
Sagittarius (nicknamed Tarius by his close friends), is a super friendly and optimistic guy who doesn’t know how to be sad. At least, that’s how he’s perceived by others. And even if he does get sad from time to time, he’s good at picking himself back up and returning to his normal, happy self. Aside from being good at, or at the very least decent at many sports, he has an uncanny talent for archery or any trade that requires accuracy and precision. Despite all his physical prowess though, he’s been called naive and idealistic by friends and acquaintances due to the fact that he lives by the philosophy that “everything will work out in the end” despite how “dire” the circumstaces are. His positive outlook on life has either motivated people or irritated them. Regardless, many have found him difficult to hate because they know he’s honest and means well. Although due to his honestly and naiveté, he’s easy to manipulate and mess with (particularly by Gemi and Mini–). All in all, his friends love to have him around because his presence alone brightens up the room and puts (mostly) everyone in a better mood.

Making more commission examples (I’m almost done :D) and this time it’s a drawing of Mini, Gemi’s twin sister (and best girl) 😼♊️✨ I really like how the pose looks here. I’ve been trying to experiment with more dynamic poses lately since it helps make the drawing process more interesting hahaha 😋 Though this particular pose right here isn’t especially dynamic. 😅
