Hi Cheerios!
I've been procrastinating like it's no one's business to write this, but as we all know, the upcoming game will be my last one as your captain. It feels unreal, but even I know I can't stay a cheerleader forever. Life goes on, meaning it's time to pass the torch.
So, for the last time from yours truly, here's our end-of-season setlist:
Dance with U - RuPaul
On The Metro - Girls Aloud
Heartbreak on Hold - Alexandra Burke
At the end of our halftime routine, I'll announce my pick for the captain spot. You're welcome to refuse, but come on, why would you? Being the captain of this squad is the best job in the world. If it came with a salary, I'd do it forever.
I'll deliver a tearier, way less coherent farewell speech that you should all bring tissues for, but for now - thanks for the ride of a lifetime. I'm proud of so, so much in my life, but my cheerios - you'll always be up there for me - and I'll be at every game until I'm 98 and start forgetting the alphabet (I'll still be doing round-offs at that age, for the record. Don't get it twisted.)
Love you, sluts.
Captain O <3
