The word hoard screen where visitors gather key words from the artists word posts and then attach to the screen making a kind of modern day hoarding inside the barn.
For me this really broadens what storywalks really is, far more than just a digital medium, it's a place to play with language. Yesterday was brilliant to see so many people and artists rubbing the words and gathering them onto the word hoard sheets.
Poem prepared for next Saturdays Somerset Art Week exhibition - The Gather-ing. Though the printing has gone a little out of control so I’ve a few extra copies than planned!!
Here’s the wonderful James Deane holding up the Sky Fork after a hard day’s work at Taplow Forge. It is heavier than it looks!

Thats incredible
This is a little walking and talking about my involvement with the Gather-ing exhibition at Stoke Sub Hamdon in just a couple of weeks time. It include the poem I’ve written for the project and will be reading live on the opening day 3rd October. Enjoy
Interpretation for the exhibition. Working ideas with test rubbings, a little like brass rubbings where visitors draw and rub words from the word cloud posts and create their own ‘Gathering’ of interpreted phrases in response to the artists creations.

Mr Jelley talks about the Storywalk If the Earth were the size of a pea and how far you would need to walk from the Sun to the Earth at this scale. But be warned don't run as you'll be travelling faster than the speed of light!
