Hi.
I have a job now. Apparently. All they let my body do is sit in the stockroom and handle the furnace. They use me as a security camera sometimes.
Thereâs just nuggets in here. And objects of questionable origin but donât mind those
[grapes are cool.]
huh. alright then.
[I like you! Have a grape. On me.]
[Orâ no, itâs on you, my bad. The grape is on top of you.]
why
"Cage? Are you alright?"
Spectre floats into the stockroom.
@stp-minimum-wage-spectre
The stockroom is covered in its new blade setup. Of course, it doesnât damage Spectre. The Cage is on a table and doesnât notice her at first. Eventually, though, a pair of sad gray eyes look up to meet hers.
A cold hand touch her cheek.
"Cage...?"
âŠ.could iâŠask you something?
It looks small. Kind of pathetic, honestly.
"Of course..."
Her voice is soft, hopefully comforting.
why are you friends with... with army? i heard you were, and- 'm scared. just want to be sure she won't hurt you again.
It seems genuine.
"W-what?"
Her eyes widen at the other's question.
the sunglasses people told me. please don't lie to me.
It doesn't break eye contact.
"I... We..."
"I don't really want to be her friend... I never wanted to... It just happened, somehow. I'm sorry."
hey, hey, hey, 's not your fault! i know you were in a bad place, alright? i don't hold it against you. just... just tell me what happened.
It attempts to smile reassuringly, but still looks worried.
"Cage? Are you alright?"
Spectre floats into the stockroom.

Okay can we first deal with what happened to you?
Pokes you with a stick
It doesnât even flinch when the stick makes contact.
did you shrink, too?
It doesnât hear you.
Are you still there? Are you still you?
It doesnât know. Is âitselfâ even a thing anymore?
Where are you?
It isnât anywhere, as far as it knows.
Did you know! Youâre going to be alone someday!
But itâs already alone.
Daisy, DaisyâŠ
There isnât a response. If there was, theyâd probably say you have the wrong person.
Thereâs a creaking in the vents before a side pops off, two cats eyes staring down into the room
What are you two doing??
-@stp-minimum-wage-witch
HEY-
The eyes are met with a piston-powered cluster of various blades before the wielder of said system realizes who it is.
Donât. Donât do that next time. Jeez.
The inside of the stockroom looks more like a bunker. Every surface is coated in metal plates, and the doors are reinforced. Cameras are arranged to cover every inch of the room. The small supply closet is guarded most securely, with a hidden numeric keypad and an old flamethrower blocking the door.
Something you needed? Close the vent behind ya, please.
She doesnât move down from the vent, using whatever room she can to look around the place.
This is stupid. You know this is stupid, right? Your cameras are pointing inside the room rather than out, the place is so cramped if that flamethrower goes off you both are getting cooked and you didnât even seal the vent, even though she travels around the restaurant IN the vents.
And yes I need something, this is my storage closet too.
I donât care if it gets in here. âS why I have these.
The corpse motions to the newly built compartments where blades are presumably hiding.
And anyways, âm willing to fry again. Wasnât too bad last time, ân if i get the thing along with me itâll work out.
The keypad flips open and the corpse types in a number. The door swings open, revealing the storage closet. A computer sits on a shelf inside, connected to the cameras scattered around the main stockroom.
My place is your place.
I really don't feel comfortable going down there, considering the...everything.
She hangs a bit further down the vent to look around the room.
And 'wasn't too bad last time' might be true for you, but your little girlfriend tried to murder me for giving her a responsibility while you were dying, so I don't condone any of this, for your sake, mine, or hers.
Can you just bring the mop bucket outside the room, I don't care to put any of the proper stuff in it, just get the bucket.
MyâŠ.she did whâŠ.
Specky wouldnât. Only person she hates enough for that is herself, so⊠Addy. Makes sense.
The head stares at Witch, horrified, for a solid three seconds before the corpse walks into the stockroom.
Bucket. Yes. I can acquire the mop and detergent liquid if necessary.
The voice is the same, but different. Slightly harsher and more businesslike.
The system can be disabled for three minutes exactly if you would like to converse normally.
Sure. Anything longer than three minutes would run in circles anyway.
She crawls back into the vent, heading to the door, most of her body hidden behind the wall still in case the flamethrower decides to ignore the shut down.
The whirring of motors powering down is heard as the stockroom door swings open. The corpse is at the closet door holding all the cleaning supplies.
Your items. And concerning what did you wish to converse with us.
It motions to a normal chair in the supply closet.
She glares at the chair, reaching in a leg to pull out the cleaning supplies, an accusatory tone bleeds into her voice as her eyes dart around the room before locking with the caged head and the stump of the corpse's neck.
I don't want to stick around with a flamethrower longer than I have to, unless you all have business with me?
The corpse gives a thumbs up.
Understandable we will not force you in here. Do you perhaps have any useful information on it? We have had the displeasure of speaking with it once. âS been going around and murdering coworkers.
The tone of its voice makes it very clear who the âitâ is.
I do.
Her grin turns wide but artificial, she looks more like Poppy than herself.
She is sadistic to a fault, loves causing pain and can take it back, doesnât seem there is anything yet thatâs slowed her down but the flamethrower attempt could work. In terms of the restaurant she has gotten some traitors on her side: the building has let her creep around the vents and worse yet, Prisoner is dating her. You want some actionable things you can do right now, then isolate Prisoner. Make her know sheâs not welcome.
P is WHAT-
The head again looks shocked and horrified before composing itself a bit too quickly.
Appreciated. Thank you.
The Cage still seems a bit hesitant, though.
She is, believe it or not. Now, my turn.
She leans closer, pressing more of herself through the door as she glares at the two.
I hear one of you has gotten buddy buddy with the backstabber lately, care to explain yourself?
The headâs face goes perfectly blank as it stares at a point directly between Witchâs eyebrows. The corpse, meanwhile, has busied itself with shining some of the already-gleaming wall plating.
How did you come to that conclusion?
Itâs not a conclusion, just an observation. Youâve both been very explicit when behind closed doors. Now donât dodge around the question.
Her expression doesnât change.
We have merely had multiple conversations.
Donât try to lie to me.
I have not lied once. We did in fact have multiple conversations.
She glares at the body, trying to find some sort of conclusion in its nonexistent expression.
Do you think Iâm stupid? Or are you trying to insist youâre unaware of how important you are to that lying, cheating, cowardly wretch?
Alternatively was there a falling out Iâm unaware of, that seems to be common for someone like Opportunist.
If you are going to throw insults you will not get any information.
The corpse idly messes with its hands.
