*She barely chokes back a sob, and quickly leaves, the door loudly swinging closed behind her.*

Cage notices this out of the corner of her eye. Still holding Spec’s hand in a death grip, she tries to follow Adversary out the door. Her free hand (it’s shaking and covered in burns) reaches for the other vessel.

A draft blows through the still-open back door to the stockroom.

Spectre approches Cage, her expression twisted in an odd smile.

"...Cage."

"I'm sorry."

Again, Cage tackles Spectre in a hug. She doesn’t seem angry at all, just worried.

…She got to you again, didn’t she? Don’t apologize, wasn’t your fault.

In comes two people, nearly identical. One is different, though. Shorter, less sure of itself, no horns or hooves. They enter a door that has a space that doesn't connect to the one she's in now.

A pair of eyes from within the break box tiredly track their movements, but the lid doesn’t come off yet.

*Poppy rolls into the alleyway by the Mctabby's, eues already scanning to make sure she's really alone. And for a moment, she thinks she is.*

*Then she looks down, her eyes falling on Cage.*

Oh- well, I- wasn't exactly expecting to see you here-
