Hey stays. I was just one admin who decided to do this on a whim when I started, and the wonderful stray kids fandom took thos event and made it bigger than I ever imagined it would be! I met a lot of lovely stays and talented writers through this event and made friends and discovered new fics, which was the purpose of this event. I hope it did the same for all of you. Thank you very much to each and every person who reblogged a post, nominated someone, voted, or just came to give a shoutout. Everyone was very understanding when I closed nominations early too, even though upset would've been justified imo. The real stray kids awards were the friends we made along the way!

‘best hwang hyunjin fic’: i actually am so grateful for the success of this work. i was so proud of it during the making process, and to think i won award for it now! and he’s my bias too, so it hits a little different!! i love writing awkward hyunjin, seriously. probably only of my favourite genres ahhaa. the appreciation like this really helps to keep me going hehe

me winning ‘best edit’ actually means so much as well, i’m very proud of my banners, and to hear and see that many others do too, really warms me. i get very bad imposter syndrome in my design degree, and it effects my confidence really bad sometimes, so this really helps to give me that little boost i need

(this is feelbokkie btw. i don't think i ever said that, lol. feelbokkie is only a side account and this one is my main)

drama aside, i'm really glad you did this. not because i've been nominate and apparently doing well in some of the categories i've been nominated for. but because it's kind of bringing the fandom together a bit and also bringing new readers. plus, i'm getting to learn about fics and writers i had no idea about and i love that so much.

also, as loved as love in focus is, it's one of the fics that i've written that has lower engagement. and while it does have some avid readers, it hasn't been getting much notes and part of me was worried that it was because it's a changbin fic (and believe me, i've written for all the members. he's the last one to complete my ot8 smaus collection and compared to the other 7 and it was making me sad both as a writer and a stay because it also ended up being one of my favorite series that i've worked on and i wanted it to get at least the same amount of love and attention as my other fics) so i'm glad more people are finding this fic

so i just wanted to say thank you for doing this event 😊 i hope both sides of your pillow are cold forever (or whichever temperature you prefer, lol)

Thank you soooo much bokkie! I've often felt like changbin is the most underrated, underwritten and under read member, which is crazy bc I know that man knows how to file taxes, and tips waiters generously 😤

I'm really happy I did this event too, it was just so fun seeing you guys reacting to getting nominated, and everyone was really unders when I decided to start voting early ♡♡

I'm the most happy that under loved fics are getting a much deserved boost, because I know what its like to work hard on a fic that didn't recieve much attention.

you're back! this has been SO FUN this week, i've been stalking these polls like a hawk - and you've brought so many new readers to my fics at the end of a really hard year with not many posta for me, it's really a highlight of my christmas just to see readers in my notes again.

AND you've brought more readers to Daybreak than I think it had when I was actively posting it - and for my biggest flop in fanfic, it's winning an award????? Like I could cry, the time I put into this fic, my few devoted readers that gave it a go, and you've finally shown it some sunlight 😭❤️

Ilysm!!! This is the sweetest message ever 💕 like oh my???

I startest this event for this reason, I wanted to see writers get thst writer dopamine hit that we don't get enough. I'm also a small fic writer @nishimurmur so I understand how it feels to put a lot of time and energy into a fic only for it to land with a thud. Especially when other fics get reblogs and comments.

So I'm really happy this event has breathed new life into your blog! I managed to make friends and connect with other people in the writing world who can help me out, and I hope the event has been as enriching for other stays as well!
