chuketsuâ:
Himiko tilted her head back, looking at Ash with narrowed eyes.
âYouâre clearly a weirdo,â she huffed. It took one to knew one, though. âNormal people get freaked out, only abnormal people react differently.â
She had plenty experience with both types of people, so she felt that her assessment was clear. His words only further proved her point, though it brought her no satisfaction.
Himiko would have fully turned away, trotting back into the darkness of the evening, were it not for Ashâs further assumption. The villain paused, having to consider what he said.
âTomura-kun would get mad at me,â she finally mumbled, not caring whether or not she would be heard. âHe gets so worked up over a little stabbingâŠâ
Now she was just standing around, grumbling to herself; clearly, she was just as abnormal as she claimed Ash to be, though she had long ago accepted that fact about herself.
âI already know Iâm a weirdo.âÂ
Ash had been called far worse than a weirdo. He had no problem at all wearing that title proudly. He tried to picture what normal would be like, but the only image he could conjure was Eijiâs smiling face.
Except he knew Eiji was not just a normal person, because Eiji was everything a person should be. He aws far better than the vast majority of normal people who simply looked down at him, or cast their eyes aside.Â
âIâm a killer just like you. A mad person too who can kill others and think nothing at all.âÂ
He wondered why he could be so honest in front of a complete psychopath who did not seem to care about anything at all, and what that said about him, but he did not want to follow that train of thought for too long.Â
It would be like throwing himself in front of a train. âYou should be more considerate about your manâs feelings. Iâd never treat my man like that.âÂ
