I use to have a blog called, "Most Americans Are Stupid." I know it sounds arrogant but I believed it. Not dumb but stupid. I was really encouraged after Obama's election, not in terms of politics as much as a new direction after what I considered 8 years of disaster, especially two wars, and the worst economy since the great depression.

We meet lots of people along thr way. Occasionally, one jumps out at you and you don’t lnow what to say. David is one or those. During the Vietnam war, he was a war resister. There’s lots of outright stupidity everywwhere, myself included. Here’s a galling one, “Christian Natonlism.” It is a made-up concept that is bullshit; a minuscule number of “rightwing Christian fundamentalists” who have proof texted the Bible to support ignorance/stupidity and their own prejudices. And now they call themselves Christian Nationalists. I am a Christian and I wouldn’t be caught dead with these assholes nor would Jesus I suspect.
