@multinaes​ gets a little thing bc we have a need

Had Gladio not been paying attention he’d likely have passed the girl by completely thinking she was just someone in the crowd and continued on his way. There was a blink, recognition and then... a pause as he grinned at the blonde, standing radiant as ever in the sunlight. It looked like she’d finally found that change she was looking for. Or at least started upon it by cutting her hair. Sometimes, that was the first step in the way of finding a new you. Or maybe Gladio was looking too deep into it. Either way, he couldn’t help but, look at her as if she carried all the stars in the sky in her soul right now.

“Lady Lunafreya.” He spoke softly and with the respect of titles though he didn’t dare embarrass her with such things as a bow or a kiss to the hand when it looked like she was trying to escape her purpose at the moment. “I like the new look. It suits you. It’s real cute.”

Such an exclamation from Ignis of all people made Gladio almost snicker. Usually his partner was quite a bit more reserved and refined than that. It seemed it was time to cut him off of the sauce so to speak.

“Darling.” Came a husky whisper, as he pried the bottle from his hand. “I think you’re at your limit.”

And to think it had come from what Gladio had observed, a place of jealousy or rather... wanting to stand his ground as a woman strode up to where they’d been sitting and began chatting him up, completely unprompted. Something he’d once loved but, now was a pain in the ass as he tried to let them down gently with some semblance of grace. It was especially hard when they were people with an already sordid history with the Swordsman.

 Like this one who he was sure Ignis had seen him go off with years previous.

Seeking to ease the territorial burn in the other, he leaned in and tugged on his earlobe with his teeth before muttering “Are you thinkin’ you need it right now or can it wait till we get back to the motel?”

He was fine with either.

If it weren’t for the serious gaze the Prince was giving him, he would have assumed he was joking. After all, he’d been a huge hard ass towards him recently as was his job... But, he knew the words had an edge to them that would wound anyone lesser. If he were to hazard a guess before the exclamation of feelings he’d assumed Noctis would have wanted to seek comfort amongst other things with Prompto or even Ignis before looking to him.

A brow raised as he shook his head, a small smile gracing his face. “Is that so? You gonna tell me why?” He wasn’t saying no but, he’d like to know what sparked it. If only to make him a little flustered.

@novuscaelum​ sent: 👌 He'd been told by another one of the Crownsgard members to do so but Novus still obeyed. Running over to Gladio, the three-year-old slapped the side of his thigh as he walked past. "BANG BANG!"

For a moment, though fleeting Gladio was confused. He was used to the little guy running around and causing havoc but, usually it was more clear than that. Then it hit him. He must’ve overheard one of the other guys earlier.

He started to laugh. Really hard. Novus almost made him want to have a kid of his own if all of them were just as much a delight as he was.

“Ah! You got me!” He exclaimed dramatically, clutching his leg as the boy continued on his way.

He’d gotten hit pretty hard by a Basilisk earlier. Maybe his ears were still ringing from being viciously being thrown to the dirt ‘cause he coulda sworn that he’d heard Noct’ say he wanted to bang him. 

Wiping his face and squeezing his eyes shut a moment he lifted a hand in front of his face to ensure he was counting as many fingers as he was holding up in front of himself. Sure enough... maybe he wasn’t concussed.

“You wanna do... what now?”

Tired. So tired.

It had been a day rougher than most. The battles had been tough, it had taken them well past dark to find a city to hunker down in and he’d taken more than his fair shares of blows to ensure the safety of his companions, jumping in front of them at the very last second.

Instead of waiting for everyone else to get ready for the night so he could keep watch for a little while, Gladio was the first to the motel to curl up into bed, dibs’ing the good room.  One bed, one pull out couch. The others could squabble over who shared which space and who got a bed to themselves if at all.

All he knew was he was ready for a good snooze.

The Swordsman was barely conscious when he felt someone spoon up behind him, regarding them with a quiet grunt. From the feeling of the arms around his waist he could only assume it was Prompto. Not that he’d memorized them all like that or anything being a serial cuddler in his sleep. Okay, maybe he had...

At the feeling of hands trailing down his stomach, he was roused a little more from his sleep with a heedy sigh. When trailing hands turned to busy palming he turned his head to look over his shoulder with one eye open.

“If that’s yer way of sayin’ thanks... i’ll be sure to take more hits for you.” A sleep ridden tease, followed by his hands covering Prompto’s. “Don’t stop.”
