Some more Unhinged Mandroid sketches because I may have gotten a bit over-excited while drawing. I'm surprised he didn't end up in a kind of life-support tank at one point to be honest. Haven't drawn his 'upgraded' form yet...

Dr. Meridian or 'Mandroid' from Transformers: Earthspark is a new favourite character of mine. Here's the only colour drawing of him I've done so far, based on his appearance in episode 18. Yes, I do primarily like villainous characters

I've been a TF fan since 2007 but have never drawn much fan art. I really wasn't into it most of the last decade but Earthspark has dragged me back in again to some extent, I really like the characters

I think I’ll start trying to use this as a multifandom blog again. Don’t know how often I’ll update or what series’ I’ll be posting about. I tend to cycle through interests very quickly

Also, for any younger ppl in the same fandoms, I’m an older fan (32) so here’s that clarification just in case you aren’t comfortable interacting with older fans

Dunno when I might have some more, I did most of these sketches whilst I was still really into it. Love this character :)

I drew Gadget to test out some new pens I’d gotten for my birthday. But did it work out as I intended? Uhh...

I drew him in casual Autumn wear and in his track suit, which I love. His clothes are so puffy and just make him look dorky most of the time, but I later learned he’s deceptively skinny under all that (usually)

Then a bit of Ghost Trick Gadget. I’ve paired up a few noirish things in my own head (Mostly Gadget, Tetsujin and Ghost Trick) and I like to doodle the charas together sometimes

Haha, yeah! I was aware that Gadget only got created bcs they didn’t have the rights to Lupin. Can’t believe we might have missed out based on something so chance

Wiki says they were gonna create a Lupin spinoff for the west but yeah, couldn’t bcs of the rights dispute. Looks like they were gonna commission Tokyo Movie Shinsha since they’d animated Lupin stuff before, and then stuck with them as the animation team even when they came up with Inspector Gadget. So yeah I kinda consider ‘82 Gadget anime at least in terms of the animation, since it was animated by a Japanese animation company.

A bunch of ‘grittier anime reboot’ Gadgets and a Roget, that I drew just for fun (I was trying to make a character inspired by Gadget but gave up and drew this stuff instead lmao)

Anyway, original Gadget is already an anime! In animation at least. It was animated by TMS. And it looks pretty damn good all things considered, some sequences are animated beautifully. And all the characters are so expressive! I love it!!

My own take on an evil doppelganger ‘Robo Gadget’. They seem to pop up every now and again in the franchise (there’s one in the movie, right? I haven’t seen that since I was a kid and I’m aware of it’s poor reputation...)

My dude is specially built by Slickstein on Claw’s orders after he captures him (again, fanfic ideas), and has advanced AI. I only wanted to differentiate him a bit from Gadget in terms of appearance bcs he’s supposed to be able to mostly pass as him, despite having a completely different aura.

If I want to put any edgy feels on anything Gadget-related I usually just put it on this guy instead. He’s like a sponge for all that stuff. I’ve called him Roget.

That’s oil (or some sort of mech fluid), by the way, not blood.

‘X-Ray’ - The first one is just a concepty sketch of how mechanised I thought he might be under everything. At the moment the shows make it seem pretty ambiguous to me >_>

Then there’s just a couple of him being him I guess, and another skyline pic (which I can’t draw so lmao)

Concept for Claw that I made. I definitely went down the route of ‘warlord’ more than Bond villain though. It’s more like a non-faithful re-imagining. Also yeah, my boyfriend put the idea of hooded Claw in my head and that pleased me bcs it meant I could still hide his face. I love the idea of Claw having cybernetics, that’s such a neat parallel with his arch enemy
