It can’t come soon enough
reblog this if you’re a university level studyblr
most of the ones i follow are high school level and i need more people my own age/education level!
I am a university student!
Back in class!! Sustainable energy is the only class I have to go today (the other two don’t meet fridays because we do work on our own outside of class)
I’ve spent my morning working on homework and long term projects. I even applied to a few more jobs! I’ve been working super hard to get stuff rolling and I’m flying to a job interview next week!
I’ve had some jobs decline but that’s ok. I’m still making progress :)
Chem energy balances, football, and lots of sun! We have a heat advisory but I’m wrapped in a blanket because AC in the south is so high indoors :(
I’ve had an incredibly busy few weeks between school, getting sick, and a TON of job interviews.
My future is bright and I’m so excited!!! I even have some travel in my future :)
The first weekend after my final semester starts and we have a wonderful thunderstorm for me to enjoy. It may be midday but it looks like it’s dusk! I have lots of natural light to enjoy and read by as I take some time for myself.
I’m finally enjoying the couple weeks of summer before classes start back up again! Unfortunately the rope holding my hammock broke, so it was bench reading from then on out.
The book is one I picked up at a local con and is actually really good!
Finals season, y’all. I’m officially done with classes now and my god am I tired
7/18/19
There have been a lot of things back to back that have made life difficult, in both my personal life and the world in general. I’ve been reflecting on some things just kind of... in general.
It’s so important to tell people you love them.
It’s equally important to put yourself first and take care of you.
Go forth, add good to the world
School got busy and I got stressed
Economics is not my favorite
A Studyblr Intro!
Hey all, my name is Eva! After lurking in the studyblr tags, and on tumblr in general for a couple years now, I’ve finally decided to start my own studyblr. I love seeing all the fun inspo posts and challenges, and I can’t wait to get to know more of this supportive community!!
(Also, this is unfortunately a side blog, so if thefitzandthegeralds follows you, that’s me!)
About me
incoming college sophomore (i’m 19)
i started as a pre-engineering student but decided to switch to environmental science at the end of the year
i love nature (obviously) so some of that will be sprinkled in w/ my study posts
while i’m a STEM nerd, i also LOVE visual arts and history!
i just wanna learn all the things
also, i’m an infj and a ravenclaw, and i’m trying to get better at drawing! :)
Next semester I will be studying:
Geology and Earth Sciences
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Issues in the Environment (my new intro course)
Why start a studyblr?
as a recovering Procrastinating PerfectionistTM I want something to help keep me accountable and actually working towards goals
(if you want an accountability partner for any kind of study challenge please let me know!! i’m always open - we don’t have to know each other or even be doing the same challenge tbh)
i want to be more mindful of my time and start appreciating the little things more
What to expect?
tbh, due to my perfectionist tendencies, some of the picture perfect journal/note spreads intimidate me a bit. so to avoid giving up right away i’m going to focus more on positivity and productivity posts. things might not look super neat/pretty, especially once school actually starts up again, but hopefully this will be a helpful space for me (and maybe even others!) over time
I plan on posting…
100 days of productivity
masterposts and resources
positivity posts & reminders
a fair mix of soft nature posts
thanks to all the big studyblrs for the ongoing inspiration, and a special thanks to some of the smaller blogs i’ve been following:
@einstetic, @strugglebusstudies, @problematicprocrastinator, @z-oologystudy @higherfurtherfasterstudy, @angclstudies, @ancientanthro, @coffeeinfusedstudying and probably a couple others I’m forgetting
also, thanks to some bonus naturecore blogs i love!!!
@pawstamp, @themushroomcottage, @windymeadows, @vegancottagecore, @geopsych
Ahhhhh thank you so much! I’ve followed you back (also a sideblog, lol) and I look forward to seeing your posts!
(P.S. I’m totally down for accountability buddies or even just talking about nerdy things :D)
July 3- Productive Days
After about a week of having a break from classes, I’ve gotten back into the groove of working on school stuff!
Getting an early start was my best idea. I woke up at 6:30, got breakfast and tea, and then went right on into my day. I got to my study spot around 11:30am, after I put together my lunch and snack for the day. Today was a sandwich with spinach, mustard, cheese, and chicken and tomatoes! My afternoon snack will be a nectarine and more tomatoes. Healthy snacks certainly go a long way!
A couple nights ago I couldn’t sleep so I put together a little “book” of my day to day to do lists. Just a little guide for when I need to do things.
I “bound” it with washi tape and put lots of stickers everywhere! I have pages for Thursday and Friday as well and have carried it with me when I work on things.
Well, back to work for me! Stay hydrated and work hard!

Summer 1 ended so I have a bit of a break between classes.
Today I went kayaking with some friends (it was a gorgeous day but still veeeery warm) and I’m winding down by reading some of the Try Guys book. I picked this up the week after it came out and honestly? It’s a GREAT read so far
Next week I’m using the second half of my break to get a lot of school work done. Because even though we have a break engineering classes stop for no one
Studying at my new spot and the weather decided to give me some nice white noise <3
I love when it storms and I am glad I can see this from the comfort of a building
I’ve managed to come down with a cold somehow x.x
I slept a good chunk of yesterday and was sent home after I gave a presentation because I looked so rough.
Now I just have to catch up on stuff despite feeling like death. Which I am feeling better today, but still feeling rough
Feeling Overwhelmed? Here’s How to Regain Control
Taking three summer classes is a lot. Two of them being senior level courses with large projects has left me with a lot of worry about whether I’ll have time to get them done. I’ve felt like I’m drowning in school projects. My anxiety and depression has flared up. So, how do I combat this?
Breathe. It’s going to be ok. Step back, pause, and take a moment to breathe.
Make a list of everything you need to do. I recently got the app Google Keep and I like how it allows me to color code my lists. You can upload pictures, make drawings, and add voice memos. You’ll need to connect a google account but that makes it nice as I can connect my school email to it.
When you study, make a color coded check list for your study breaks. I like using bright colors as an incentive and also a way to differential that yes, green is break and orange is study. It helps to see everything laid out in a nice and easy way to read. (Add a fun sticky note to find the page better. Yes, that is a dalek)
Reward yourself. You need to take breaks to maintain your best mindset and study effectively.
Make your study space comfortable. Blankets, water, anything that helps you get into the mindset that you want to be there. I don’t study at my apartment as there are too many distractions. I study at the library normally, but since the summer is here they are doing a lot of construction in my preferred library. I’ve started going to a community center very close to my apartment, so I’ve been adjusting to this new location. Luckily it has incredibly comfortable chairs and I bring my little General Organa figure and my African Wild Dog stuffed animal with me. Sounds silly, but having Leia there reminds me of what my goals are and my stuffed animal is soft and calms me by hugging him. Never feel ashamed if it helps you stay calm.
Eat regularly and eat healthy. You need to make sure you’re getting the proper nutrition and feeding your mind as well as your body. You need energy to do well in lectures and on your assignments. Eating healthier and making sure to stay hydrated is a good way to do better. Will this solve everything? No. Will it help? Absolutely!
If you’ve made it all the way down here, thank you! If anyone has any more tips on how to do better handling feeling overwhelmed please add them! I sincerely hope this helps someone :)
