How has Nez Perce art changed since the influence of European culture?

We will present different aspects of how this piece came to be possible because of European influence. This means looking at trade, meaning how did the Nez Perce end up with glass beads to create this bag and what was traded for the beads. Additionally, we will look at the subject of the piece and try to explain why multiple European themes are expressed on a Nez Perce work of art. This could be explained by the close proximity the Nez Perce were with a European settlement or a fascination with a culture so different from their own, or for many other reasons that we will explore.
