After months of planning and preparing, Pinpin Mail is finally open.

Pinpin Mail is a monthly letter sent from the countryside of Nara, where I'll share little stories about my life, my art journey, and the things that catch my attention along the way.

I've prepared a few different tiers, including photographs, handmade paper goods, paper doll outfits, and ephemera bundles for scrapbook/junk journal lovers.

A series of tiny, tiny portraits I did in the beginning of the year, portraying magical and whimsical creatures.

I even went further to create a mini story behind it, that I might develop into something bigger in the future.

All these portraits belong to Baroness Wilhelmina Franziska von Oberberghausen-Kirchstäten-Urstrup-Kalthum. She is a very wealthy and heart-warming woman who loves her pets, many of them chimeras, rescued from alchemists that did experiments on them and auctions. Some portraits depict her beloved ones, other are just legendary creatures she admires.

Some guests are rather scandalised that she keeps the creatures free to roam her garden and even her big house, like Priest Peter, who always gets his hat snatched by Felix | and II (the double-headed bird), or needs to run away from Chimelima's (a goat-sabre-toothed-rabbit) attack on the hem of his robe when he pays a visit to the Baroness' Manor. While some might complain, the Baroness watches her pet's mischiev with delight while sipping on tea and tasting delicious pastry, excusing her tiny beasts for being just who they are. They are not hurting anyone anyways.

And it's not like anyone could argue with her, her donations is what keeps the church well, and her husband's reputation is respected by all land.

My first art event!!! 💕💕🐈‍⬛

I was so nervous yet so happy to sell my artwork at a zine fest. I spent so many days designing and producing zines, memopads, bookmarks and postcards. The stickers were done by me a few years ago, and I loved the outcome. I'd love to keep selling my art in different events. It was a dream come true. 🦭💕

I really had fun creating this.

Using poster color on recycled cardboard is my new high. I love creating with these mediums.

I picked up poster color only a few months ago, but it feels so easy to use from the beginning. Watercolor has always been my main coloring medium. I am not abandoning it, but I did take a break.

I do need to get back into it tho, since the book that is on the making will be mainly in watercolor.

One thing I love doing is create little paintings on recycled cardboards from packaging as a warm up exercise. I let myself create random patterns and textures that turn out quite nice. For now, I am collecting them. I wonder what I can use them for in the future.
