DEVIL'S LIMINAL: JULY 20 Margo gets an invite to meet Clara at the place she’s staying now. However, Margo is only greeted by the shopkeeper, Teresa. She knows quite a bit about what’s going on, how does she fit into all this?

After the open mic, Bec is inspired to try and learn the guitar. Hanging out in her garden together, Margo and Bec discuss the past, memories they’ve been seeing, and their relationship.

DEVIL'S LIMINAL JULY 18 It’s open mic night! Jade and some of the gang perform at it. Afterwards, Margo ends up with her girlfriend at the diner. Maybe it’s a bit of a date? Luckily Clara knows just what to say.

Margo’s home isn’t a safe place to keep important information anymore, with her mom going through her stuff. They decide to keep some books at Bec’s place for the time being, and Bec learns more about Margo’s dad.

After having a strange dream, Margo goes to the library to do some research. She pulls up some old articles on a microfiche reader, and learns about Clara's connection to the Satanic Panic in the news 20 years ago...

In order to find Clara's grimoire, Margo tries dowsing with some unexpected results. As Margo is trying to decipher the outcome, she receives yet another normal and wanted text from Lee.

The gang tries to figure out college, and while they’re at it roommate compatibility. Bec’s fighting an uphill battle against the wisdom of horoscopes (Scorpio😞).

Clara’s book is missing and Margo can’t find it. She goes to deliver the bad news and finds Clara at a local new age store. Turns out the store owner knows Clara, and now wants everyone to play a board game to get to know each other better.

After the sleepover, Margo and Clara talk. Clara didn't plan on it, but maybe she feels stronger than she lets on... After Clara leaves, Margo makes plans to look at college stuff, and she finds out her mom took something from her room.

Margo has her girlfriend over for dinner with her mom. Afterwards, they hang out in Margo’s room and listen to music, talk about traveling, listen to Margo sing… typical sleepover stuff.

Margo’s mother has been acting strange… stranger than usual somehow. She insists Margo has a friend over and you can already tell it’s going to be ✨weird✨

This post has nothing to do with DEVIL'S LIMINAL but has everything to do with me and I guess illustrates my experience with Americana:

A million years ago when I was a kid, my family was on a roadtrip and we ended up in The South. I think it's important to note that my mom is a blonde from California, my dad is from New York and still had the gruff New Yorker accent and very much looks and sounds like he'd fit into The Godfather or something, and this was in the era when border patrol would ask my parents if they were illegally sneaking me into the country. So, in The South, we stuck out and did receive a few comments.

We got lost, so my dad went into a gas station to ask for directions. No one would talk to him or look at him. So he was a bit weirded out, and was trying to figure out what was going on. He noticed everyone was wearing a trucker hat, so he bought a trucker hat.

We went to another gas station, and this time he donned his new hat. Now, everyone was super helpful, talking to him, and we got directions. For the rest of the trip he wore the hat and we didn't have any problems. This is my recreation of what this moment looked like.
