First update in a while! It’s been super rainy where I live, which has resulted in all sorts of funfun things growing around my complex. 🍄

Believe it or not, still working on my paper. It’s been a year! This needs to stop! But every time we finish one experiment, we need to do another. Hopefully I will be free of this soon.

I also got an intern for the summer which is great! She has been learning at the speed of light.

Things I need to do this week:

-figure out what else I need for that darn paper

-teach the intern next generation sequencing

-make flash cards for my Swedish vocab (the för- words always get mixed up in my brain)

-practice my tarot skills! I read through the book twice, now I just need to cement what I know by actually playing with the cards

(Day 2 in Gamla Stan)

2000 year old Roman sculptures that you can walk right up to. Made me super nervous about knocking stuff over!

Today though, all the antiques really put me in the mood to study a lot. I’m behind on my Swedish, so here’s to me catching up!!

Day one in Gamla Stan!

Very slowly learning random Swedish words here and there (more than I already knew). Little too tired to actually study, but you know.

Outside of a 6 hour jet lag nap, we walked around and saw some churches, St. George, the roof of our hotel, and a Viking bar!
