I am still processing but what a bold reinterpretation of the story. And the Athena reveal and Odysseus confession monologue tying it all together was fantastic and gave me chills.

The Cyclops and Circe sequences were the obvious standouts but the creepiest thing in the whole movie was that Lastrygonian kid lol.

The whole cast brought what was expected of them and more. Where the movie technically really shines for me is the score and sound design. That last pluck of the bow string? Just delicious.

My one little disappointment was Scylla and Charybdis, it was not terrifying enough but I guess no version of that could compete with the one from my childhood imagination.

Second watch sooni-ish guaranteed and I will probably have more to say when my thoughts settle.
