“I think the biggest obstacle for people with their creativity is that they feel they have to sit down and create this finished, polished product. Especially nowadays, it’s so easy to have a library of two thousand CDs, books and records. So many things. We’re used to having all of these finished works of art in our life that seem to arise out of nothing. I think that so much of the creative process is a fragmentary one, and then it’s about just allowing your intuition to put it together for you. It’s funny how you create something and you think you’re going in a million different directions, and then the thing you end up with is the thing that you wanted to create your whole life, but you’re just as surprised by it as anybody else.”

Wow, I’ve never seen it articulated before, but this is so true of me. I mean, I definitely remember spending hundreds of hours on Four Corners, and all the novels I have in my drawer, but with Four Corners in particular I still go ‘Hey, wait, where did that come from??’

Nether Portal day / night
Woahg. beautiful. I’m obsessed with the way you’ve realized that and made it look like real obsidian. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any art of a nether portal like this before.
if u grew up in florida, please have your doctor check the creases of ur brain for mildew
And it’s like a drop of water falling back into the ocean, of which it’s always been a part.
Still my favorite.
do you ever sabotage your own free time? like wtf is that about? i want to play this game or read or do something specific but instead i will just stare out the window or scroll mindlessly???
Life After Death: IV
by Laura Gilpin
The things I know: how the living go on living and how the dead go on living with them
So that in a forest even a dead tree casts a shadow and the leaves fall one by one and the branches break in the wind and the bark peels off slowly and the trunk cracks and the rain seeps in through the cracks and the trunk falls to the ground and the moss covers it
and in the spring the rabbits find it and build their nest inside and have their young and their young will live safely inside the dead tree
So that nothing is wasted in nature or in love.
It should 100% be illegal for companies to make you give them your payment information when you sign up for a free trial version of their product. It is not necessary and there is no good fucking reason for them to do it. It’s blatantly just so they can steal forgetful customers’ money.
oh hey, thanks for reminding me to cancel a free trial i had going on.
Reblog to save an unnecessary charge cause it also reminded me to cancel a trial lol
pls this is so funny
Each night, you will try so hard
to touch his face. Your fingers
will shake. You will be crying
and you will not know why
and it’s not his fault. It’s not his fault
he is an un-swung axe.
