yesterday i finished a short story i'd been on-and-off working on for a while so i decided to draw the two characters from it :) not sharing the story itself since i'm very shy about my writing but there's two small excerpts and more about the story below the cut!!

the small excerpt doesn't specify the second one is about arthur! and the first one is obviously about rhys but that one says his name so u knew that

rhys is the main character (yes he looks a lot like richey edwards in the second drawing. that is because he likes richey edwards. i'm sorry ok). arthur was his best friend but about twoish years before the beginning of the story he commits suicide (when i thought about this while drawing him i got very sad. i really like him). the story takes place during just one afternoon in which rhys experiences some sense of closure (though he doesn't necessarily want to call it that because he thinks it's cliche and silly) over his grief. he knows he'll never be fully over it but he definitely feels less stuck in place by the end of the story

i probably should've drawn a more modern-phases 2d since y'know. the whole nonbinary thing only just happened but i loveee in early phases art when there was like slight red in their eyes from the hyphema so i wanted to draw that :)
