The employees of Babeland, an adult toy store in New York City, voted to join a labor union, citing common issues and others specific to their work and to transgender employees.
Congrats to all the amazing Babeland NYC workers on their big union win!
"Every student that comes to school and says 'I'm Cinderella' - should we give them a carriage to ride around in?" - Nancy Stacey, Marion County FL school board member, quoted in the NY Times.
Ignorant and disgusting comments like these contribute to a culture of violence and hostility towards anyone who doesn't fit within a rigid gender binary system.
