Catherine… An unusual name. Then again, nothing seemed quite usual about the woman before him. From the blonde, looping spirals, to the thin dress that she donned; she is the stark contrast to the norm he knew. Pursing his lips together for a brief moment as he committed the name to memory, he offered his name in return, “Malik.”

"Well, you're the first Malik I've ever come across. You're not from America, are you?" The question spilled from her mouth in an attempt to strike a conversation with the unusually quiet man. She wasn't quite sure what to think of him yet seeing as he didn't give her much of an opportunity to pry about his personality like she did with most.

She rolled her eyes at the creature's upfront and insulting attitude towards her. "Well, you came for me first, soooooo.."

“It’s natural…” The seeress responded, feeling a bit awkward at Catherine’s question towards her. Perhaps it was because she was in a different timeline? “I gather that having blue as a hair colour is not very common here?” Catherine’s own hairstyle was… rather unique, in a sense. She’d seen curled hair before, just not styled in pigtails so… bouncy?

"No way? That's so cute! I just got stuck with your run-of-the-mill boring blonde," Catherine pouted, her lips instantly turning into a warm smile. "Well, not exactly." She fingered the lace of her choker a bit as she tried to think of a way to answer her question without making herself sound any more upfront than she already had.

Unsure of what to make of the stranger’s seemingly playful observation, he inclined his head ever slightly. Usually, he finds little need to speak out, particularly when there was nothing important to be said (in which case he would speak endlessly); but he was mildly curious regarding the identity of the unfamiliar face before him. “… And you are?”

She gave the stranger a small pout as he stared at her, a look of confusion spread across the defined features of his face. Her uplifting and playful attitude usually warmed strangers up to her instantly, but this one was obviously taking it into a different story. "Most call me Catherine. What about you, stranger?"

Inclining his head, he affixed his wary gaze upon the blonde-haired woman before giving a slow nod of acknowledgement.

Catherine allowed a soft giggle to slip between her lips as the man gave her a small nod. "Oh, I see. You're more of a strong silent type."

Breaking her stoic expression with a small smile, the seeress gave a light-hearted chuckle towards the other, impressed by how direct Catherine was. “I am.”

Catherine let out a soft sigh as she straightened a bit to get a good enough look at the strange girl, tilting her head slightly as her blue eyes scanned her long oddly colored hair. "So what brought you to dye it that color? Your hair, I mean."

Catherine slowly twirled one of her springy pigtails around her manicured index finger and stared at the woman sitting in front of her, obviously sensing her uneasiness. "Are you always like this or..?"
