Kraftwerk interview Florian Schneider
In 1988 Japanese magazine "Silverstar Club" sent Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk a tape with questions for an interview. Florian returned it with answers in tweaked voices, and the interview was published in a written format. Ten years later (1998) this recording was released as an extra together with a magazine.
ABBA:
Morning without you to An Angel Passing through My Room.
ACCAPELLA...
ABBA: Me And I [The Marek Mixes] (1980) Marek has so far contributed plenty of Boney M.-Gilla-Eruption-Precious Wilson-related material to my channel, but here is a first with a set of ABBA mixes. ABBA of course need no introduction to anyone. One of the world's most successful bands of all times, they also happened to be very adamant that they wouldn't make 12" versions of any of their songs back in their active years, except for one lightly remixed version of Voulez-Vous, nor have they commissioned any official remixes of their material ever since. Marek's ABBA-debut happens to be one of my own personal favourite deep cuts, Me And I, from their seventh album Super Trouper, released November 3,1980, arguably one of their most accomplished albums with every track being strong enough to be a single on its own. This song features Frida on lead vocals, drawing vocal inspiration from Eartha Kitt on the verses. As always, the harmonies with Agnetha are outstanding. Marek hasn't gone bonkers here, but has just lovingly extended this track in two different mixes and thrown in an instrumental and an acapella for good measure.
Enjoy!
