“Should I pay it forward? Are we gonna talk about how good your hair looks today, and your new skirt? Did you skateboard here, ‘cos you ran my heart right over on the way. I think we should exchange numbers, for insurance purposes.” He’s leaning into this joke a bit heavy, but it’s hard to fault himself. “Wanna talk about it over some cake?”
DESPITE THE ATTIRE CHANGE, HE’S THE SAME OLD, SWEET-TALKING MIKI. she easily leans into him as he pulls her close, though she lets out a tiny squeak as her eyes close at his finger on her nose.
❝ oh no! ... have mercy on me, mister long legs!! gosh, they stretch for miles, don’t they? when will they end?? ❞ but her dramatics are quick to fade to more genuine glee as hues light up softly with sunflower essence and starlight. she whirls out of his arms, pleated skirt aflutter as she gathers his hands ‘gainst her palms, strands of hair sticking to glossy lips.
