Our world...

I find it ironic that when we try to allow people who have struggled their whole lives just to be heard, the moment they have the ability…. They get ridiculed, or some white conservative man gives you a million reasons why they deserved what they got. When it is Black Lives Matter, its all lives or blue lives. When it is a woman asking for the bare minimum of control over our body, we then get told to keep out legs closed, and to not even consider sex unless we are ready to bare a child… Although that has never been told to a man. The egos of these people are so fragile they cannot even for a second get out of their own way to allow someone else to be on top. These people just must scream as loud as they can to gaslight you into believing that what these people are experiencing is a fallacy. I just hope for a day where our world can just see people for who they are, and validate the things they experience without making them feel small.

This is so brave for Rudy Francisco to call out those who use religion to justify their identity and belief systems. This has and forever will be one of my favorite poems he has written...
