ămorisawa chiaki x momoe ushio // ushiakiă
âł commission for @paracosmiia !
wc: 1596
a/n: thank you for commissioning me, miia! your ryusei red is on the way!
Ever since that day, Ushio always remembered the first time she prepared a bento for Chiakiâthe way the skeins of sunlight gleamed on her petite frame and seemed to cheer her on as she tentatively pried open the gymnasium doors, peeking inside to discern the basketball club all hard at work.
Chiaki appeared so exalted as his gaze settled on her, brown irises twinkling in a way that she had never seen before as he rushed over to her in a heartbeat; as if he couldnât bear the thought of not being by her side the moment their eyes met.
It was like a scene in a shoujo manga, the way his trembling fingers brushed against hers with such tender careâthe pair of them breathless from the gesture from the other.
But, above all else, Ushio could still vividly hear Chiakiâs voice as he effusively declared his gratitude.
âTh-This is for me? Oh my god!! Ushio, thank you! Iâll cherish it and keep it foreverâoh wait, itâs food,â he boisterously laughed at his own gaffe, before his voice tapered off into a soft, almost abashed hue, âIâll savour every bite. In exchange, will you make me another one someday?â
And now, a year later, Ushio found herself with another bento tucked into her bag; the box enveloped within a cloth parading colourful patterns to reflect Chiakiâs vivacious personality. Never mind the fact that she rifled through a plethora of designs until finding the perfect one⯠and the extra money she had to spend to secure it.
Ushio held onto her bag cautiously, a protectiveness exuding from her movements as she sauntered outside of ESâ main building in search of the recipient of her affections. With a gentle regard sweeping across the pavement, Ushio spotted Chiaki easily.
It seemed kismet was showering her in benevolence today, and she didnât squander another second as she ambled over to his crouched form. âChiaki-san,â Ushio called out to him, cheeks already emanating warmth from the thought of what she was about to doâof gifting him the fruits of her toil. âAre you busy?â
Swarming at Chiakiâs feet were a multitude of birds, chirring joyously as they hopped around him, and he tilted his head up to look at her. âUshio, hey!â he greeted her, letting her make out a plastic bag brimming with birdseed in his hand, âI fed one of these little guys earlier and now theyâre all attached to me. I think they want to thank me!â
At Chiakiâs high spirits, a smile curved on Ushioâs lips. âThank you? And get more food by the looks of it,â she quipped with mirth, incapable of suppressing the chortle from overflowing as his guise contorted in betrayal.
âYou think so?! Ahaha, well, thatâs okay too!ââ Chiaki rolled the joke off his shoulders, an effervescent laugh following his retort. He continuously spread out birdseed; which only seemed to make even more birds flock over to the promise of food. âEven if theyâre only after food, Iâm still helping them. And what more do you need than that?â
Ushio couldnât stop her smile from stretching wider, his sentiments so true to him. âYouâre right! Right now, youâre probably their biggest hero,â she mentioned, pointing out how they chirped in appreciation.
âDo you want to feed them, too?â Chiaki asked, holding out the plastic bag to her.
Eyes widening at the thought, Ushio didnât hesitate to accept the bag from Chiaki; flattening down her skirt underneath her as she crouched down next to him. âIâd love to,â she whispered, the idea making her eager.
Slowly, Ushio pulled out a cluster of birdseed and began to scatter it onto the ground before them. âJust like that~â Chiaki grinned, peering over at Ushio as they huddled close together to approach the birds as favourably as possible.
The two of them were retained an iota of space between them, the propinquity making Chiakiâs head swirl with heat and awkwardness; yet, even so, he couldnât pry his eyes off herâhow her cheeks glowed with hotness and a sense of jubilation.
âThey like you, Ushio!â Chiaki remonstrated as he gesticulated to how the birds twittered excitedly, jumping up and down off their little legs. They wanted more seed; more nourishment for their growing bodies. Yet she looked uncertain of herself at that moment, trying to hand the bag back as if she didnât want to take away from Chiakiâs bird feeding experience. âGo on. I donât mind if you empty the bag.â
Truthfully, Chiaki also simply wanted to luxuriate in this sight a little longer. Of Ushio smiling as the birds venerated her as if she was their hero. It made his heart flutter in his chest, sending a rush of exhilaration and warmth through the fissures of his veins.
âThank you, Chiaki-sanâŻâ Ushio breathed out, her mind already forgetting what she came here to do in the first place. âTheyâre so cute, arenât they? Iâm going to feel really bad when we finish the seed.â
On a detonation of elation, Chiaki unintentionally got closer to Ushioâto the point there faces were only inches apart and the tips of their noses grazed each otherâs. âWe can always come back!â he reassured her, eyes sparkling.
Ushioâs countenance burst with white-hot embarrassment as she realised a single movement from either of them would make them kiss; and if you looked closely enough, you could practically see the copious wisps of steam emitting from the poor girlâs face. âY-Yeah, we canâŻâ she trailed off, lips parted and quivering, âb-but weâll never kiss in front of them, okay?â
The way Ushio said that, so enticingly shy and yet still trying to deflect with wit, made Chiaki gaspâand he pulled back hurriedly, his own cheeks becoming florid. âI-I wasnât?! Youâre right, we shouldnât?!â he spluttered, vocals double-crossing his rationality.
Ushio was teasing him, just slightly, and yet he reacted so strongly to her words. It was so cute; so, so cute. She loved that about him⯠although she didnât vocalise such thoughts to him.
âO-Oh, wait, that reminds meâdidnât you need me for something?â Chiaki abruptly asked, trying to divert the topic away from this flustering theme. âIâm sorry, I got sidetracked.â
Shaking her head, Ushio finally laid out the final bits of birdseed; and the two of them promptly stood up to their full heights. âI-I wanted to give you thisâŻâ
When Ushio had first given Chiaki a bento, her fingers were shaky and unsteady. Right now, her heart was still hammering just as much as that day⯠assailed by feelings of discomfiture and trepidation that she wouldnât be received well.
She was always an overthinker, after all.
But as she pulled out the bento from the confines of her bag, Ushioâs fingers were imbued with a new strength she cultivated alongside her time with Chiaki and the rest of RYUSEITAIâas their relationship blossomed more and more each day since then.
âA bento?â Chiaki drew in his breath as surprise overtook his features, yet it was clear how exultant he was over the idea.
Nodding her head, Ushio held it out to him. âYeah, itâs been a while since I last made you one; and youâve been working really hard lately, so I thoughtâŻâ
Placing his hands over Ushioâs fondly as he clasped onto both her and the precious bento, Chiaki beamed. âIâm so happy! Ushio, your cooking is the best!â he praised her with heaps of sincerity redolent to that very first day. âThank you!!â
âYouâre welcome,â Ushio meekly murmured, the words âanything for youâ tingling on her glossy lips as she felt him tighten his grip over her.
There was a pauseâChiaki refusing to let go of her just yet as they stood togetherâand the birds were already flitting about and moving on with their lives as they pecked away the vestiges of Chiakiâs and Ushioâs solicitousness.
âYou know,â Chiaki began, eyes glimmering with ruminations, âyouâve been working really hard, too. Can I⯠make you a bento next time?â
âDo you even know how to cook, Chiaki-san?â Ushio curiously inquired, head tilting as her short hair cutely descended with her motion and making Chiaki even more nervous at how irresistible that was.
âI donât,â Chiaki answered veraciously, squirming and averting his gaze as a feeling of self-consciousness overwhelmed his entity.
âI could always teach youâI think itâd be fun, and then we can eat whatever we make together,â Ushio smiled, patently growing excited over the idea just by speaking of it.
Vehemently nodding his head, Chiakiâs grin was unbridled with euphoria. âItâs a promise!â
And just like that first time Ushio made him a bento, Chiaki had a pledge etched on his heart heâd do anything to keep.
[omake]
âWhy is Taichou suddenly so obsessed with feeding the birds?â Midori groaned, lamenting his entire existence as he watched his leader scattering more and more seeds onto the ground with a pitifully overzealous visage.
âApparently Ushio-san and him promised to feed them together but he wants to increase his affinity with them before they do in order to impress her!â Tetora elucidated, although for poor Midori it still didnât make any sense. âHeâs been doing this every day for the past week.â
Peeking furtively behind the pair as they all watched with a morbid, rapt attention, Shinobu piped up, âI think itâd be best to leave Morisawa-dono behind for nowâŻâ
The other two nodded their heads in solemn agreement, silently gyrating on their heels to abandon their Ryusei RedâŻâŻ so he can continue his quest to befriend the birds.
ăsakasaki natsume x akiyama reine // natsureiăÂ
âł commission for @kunehori !
wc: 1350
a/n: i can never get enough natsurei! thank you for commissioning me, ari!
Tracing their finger along the outskirts of an ornate box, opulence engraved in every corner, Reine luxuriated in the rich, cloying scent of chocolates wafting from withinâthe clubroom around her was bereft of the usual members, having arrived much earlier to spend her afternoon slumbering on the couch.
Now that Reine ruminated on it, there was a new set of pillows and blankets here; tucked away in the corner as if having expected her to take a nap here. But she wasnât sure who exactly placed them here.
The adorable small bunny and star-shaped motifs stitched in the blanket made it feel personalized to herâand she wished she knew who brought it, so she could express her gratitude to them.
It was truly cozy and plush, alleviating her anxiety when secured within it.
Reine could sense her mind reeling, thoughts rambling along divergences and confusticating her all at once. Was she still sleepy?
So consumed in her thoughts, she hadnât heard the clubroom door creaking openânot until a disembodied voice called out to her, velvety like the chocolates still idly settled in the palm of her hands.
âWhat are you eating, little bunny?â Natsume inquired whilst padding into the room and observing her delicate frame cuddled up in the corner of the couch. His mien illuminated with temptation to know, peeking into the box.
âOh, just some chocolates my parents brought home,â Reine divulged, the tone of their voice brimming with an aberrant giddiness and delight. Although they werenât sure whether she was allowed to have of claimed them for herself or not; but it was too late for that now.
âDo you want some?â
Watching as she cutely propped the box up in her dainty little hands, Natsume reached forward to pluck one out for himselfâbut stopped as a surge of perplexity cascaded through him. âDid you already have some?â he abruptly asked.
Tilting her head, a cloudiness encompassing their blue eyes, Reine answered, âYeah, why?â
â⯠These chocolates have some aphrodisiacs in them,â Natsume began whilst confiscating the box from her and placing it down onto the table before them, recognizing the special spell cast upon the decadent chocolates. âYou do know what that is, right?â
âO-Of course I do,â Reine chortled airily, hearts emerging from the depths of their irises as her gaze fixated onto Natsume. The wizard sat next so closely to her, this propinquity making their mind spin even more than it already wasâthoughts revolving around him, enthralling her like a tasty, succulent carrot meant to entice the rabbit to pop out of the magicianâs hat.
âBut isnât it fine?â
Before Natsume could conjure up a response to Reineâs innocent indifference, he felt her arms twine around him. âLittle bunny,â he coiled an arm around her in a swift reaction; wanting to keep her at a safe distance, yet still appease.
However, just Natsumeâs touch on Reine alone made her fuzzy attention exacerbate and she squeezed him tightly. Her lips found his neck, luscious lips affixing a burst of quick, yet firm kisses along the curve.
A frisson of pleasure suffused down the column of his spine, converging at the base and permeating throughout the rest of his body in such an intense rush, he gasped. âCalm down,â Natsume started, wincing as Reine gave him a suckle below his ear, âitâs the chocolates bewitching you.â
Puffing out her cheeks in a querulous pout, Reineâs glazed over eyes were only after one thing⯠to see Natsume writhing from her bold advances. âDoes it matter?â Reine sounded almost sultry, which only magnified Natsumeâs plight. âYou like it when I kiss you; and I want to. Does the reason have to stop me?â
Reine was delirious, Natsume knew this, the additive and illusionary effects of the chocolates charming her into being even more needy. And he didnât want to take advantage of her in any mannerâjust the mere notion of hurting them made a gut-wrenching dread pound against his stomach.
As long as it doesnât get out of hand, Natsume could surely help placate this wicked curse plaguing his beloved bunny?
Taking Natsumeâs moment of silence as permission to continue, Reine lifted her mouth up to his ear and began to press her teeth down onto the sensitive flesh. It was more akin to nibbles, truly, yet the feeling of her mouth sliding against his ear made Natsume flush hotly.
âNngh, you know I love it when I feel your lips on me,â Natsume found himself finally acknowledging, her lips now following along his jawline, before his arms squeezed around her protectively; although it was more greedy of him, he thought. âAnd youâre too cute when youâre needy like this.â
Hearing those words caused salvos of delight to skate over her nerves feverishly, body sweeping with heat, and she nuzzled into himâcheek-to-cheek. Reine cupped a hand around his countenance, both of their complexions glowing with rosy hues, and pressed their lips together.
The sensation made Reine melt into Natsume, bodies slotting together so perfectly, and she was rapturous he didnât put up much of a fightâshe coveted Natsumeâs affection and love, the aphrodisiacs making her ravenous.
As the taste of the sumptuous, full-bodied chocolates made Natsume shiver, he clasped the fabric of her blazer.
Their lips rounded with each otherâs, sensual and slow as Reine moaned sweetly into the kiss; mouth parting as her tongue poked out, licking at his moist lips; her body naturally seeking more.
âNatsume-kun,â a shaky breath, gripping him tauter, âplease⯠open your mouth.â
Reine implored so beguilingly, saccharine vocals oozing with an excitement and desperation he couldnât possibly resist any longer. Sliding a hand underneath their skirt, fingers holding onto her thigh, Natsume did as he was told. For her, he'll do anything.
âBe gentle, little bunny,â Natsume sounded almost pleading for him, reciting a miraculous spell to make her follow his words.
Hot and wet, Reineâs tongue swirled against hisâfollowing the shape of his mouth as she traced little love patterns within, hopelessly mewling as ecstasy imbued itself into the cleft of her entity. âMmhâ!â
Natsume let out his own soft, deluded noise as he suddenly felt Reineâs aggression increase, pace upscaling in which she devoured him; kissing him so helplessly, as if there was only him in this world.
And for her, in this very moment, that was entirely true.
Every cell in Reineâs body clamored in desire, solely riveted onto the weird wizard clinging onto her with as much neediness as her.
Fingers danced along Reineâs thigh as the rough kiss consumed them, feeling the warmth emanating from her skin as it seeped into his fingertips, and Natsume scrutinized drool congregating in the corner of Reineâs mouth before it spilled over down her chin.
Reine was so cute like thisâvisage flushed and utterly dazedâit wasnât fair for Natsume, either.
Finally retracting away, Reineâs eyes were glazed over with a mist of familiar sleepiness; and Natsume recognized this immediately. However, Reine still wished to kiss Natsume moreâand she faltered in her movements, chasing after his mouth.
Natsume shook his head lightly as his thumb cleaned her chin, hastily seizing the pillow laying next to them on the couch and placing it onto his lap before coaxing Reine into collapsing on it.
Watching as she plopped onto it, curling up into a small ball as she endearingly always does, he exhaled quiveringly. Thank god Sora bought that for herâit was perfect for her, and unfortunately, concealing the conspicuous impact Reineâs little heated session had on him.
âAll satisfied now, my little bunny?â Natsumeâs voice was quiet and hushed, an intimacy only reserved for her exuding from his tone as he brushed the loose strands of hair from her face.
âMhm,â Reine hummed wearily, fluttering lashes brushing against her cheeks that begun to cool down ever so slightly, âMm⯠maybe not. When I wake up, I wantâŻâŻ more and more of you, Natsume-kun.â
Covertly praying the effects dissipate by the time she wakes up from her nap, Natsume wasnât sure if he could hold back next time.
ătenshouin eichi x vivian // kiteichiă
âł commission for @yumebait !
wc: 1842
a/n: yay more kieichi! some angst lingering between the lines, but i hope you enjoy all the same! thank you for commissioning me, viv!
âEichiâEichi, are you awake?â
Wispy and nearly muted, Vivian called out to her childhood friend settled next to her in the king-sized bed; and when she heard silence, she knew she had to make the venture out of the bedroom alone.
The incredibly daunting venture.
What if she ran into one of Eichiâs family members? Or the on-site staff? Theyâll look at her like sheâs a nugatory bug worth no more than the dirt beneath their shoes as they always do whenever their haughty eyes meet hers.
Swallowing anxiously, the seam of her throat exacerbating in dryness, Vivian slowly slipped out from underneath the covers and left the only safe spot she knew in this mansion.
Vivian still hadnât retained the layout of Eichiâs capacious home, and she knew for a fact that she was going to get lost at some point.
Crystals and ornate glass sculptures reflected purity all around herâor rather, perhaps, it was a lack thereof as it all felt so hollow. Even if her countenance was mirrored in the pellucid ornaments, Vivian surmised it didnât seem right because she knew that Eichi truly doesnât feel at home here.
Continuing to wander the contrived hallways with a sense of wonderment for the decorations, trying to navigate each lengthy stretch, Vivian felt utterly hopeless.
All she wanted was a glass of waterâŻ!
Vivian peered into a random room, discerning what appeared to be a bedroom withinâalthough it seemed as if it was memorialised with the clear tarpaulins enveloping each piece of furniture. It clearly hadnât been used in a long, long time.
And she kept discovering more and more rooms like that.
The entire house felt so empty, unlived in. The thought made Vivian sad, believing that even Eichiâs home imitated the vacant hospitals he was often confined to against his own will. Were all rich people so thoughtless with their homes? Arenât homes supposed to parallel a feeling of solace and closeness?
Upon meandering some more, Vivian made her way into a grandiose roomâveneered on the walls were ostentatious designs of unbridled luxury, golden and white in colour. Of course. Multiple chandeliers were casted from the high-rise ceiling; it was almost too much.
With the beams of moonlight filtering through the diaphanous curtains, Vivian for a moment felt like an itinerant princess in olden fairy tales.
Ambling into the middle of the space, Vivian couldnât help but twirl fatuously to revel in the ambiance that would never belong to her. Yet the daydream was interrupted by the creaking of the doors, the clamour resounding and echoing not only throughout the room, but in the crevice of her chest.
Preparing to throw herself to the floor in shame and apols, Vivian scrutinised Eichi as the one stepping inside. Wasnât he asleep?
âVivian, here you were,â Eichi laughed, padding into the ballroom to come closer to her, âI woke up and you werenât there. I was lonely, you know.â
âNot worried?â Vivian bantered back with a sheepish chortle, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she realised he caught her playing around like a child.
âWell, I know youâd be safe in the Tenshouin home, so no; I wasnât worriedâȘâ Eichi said as he marvelled at her alluring movements, the sight of her embarrassed visage made his skin tingle with a featherlike ripple.
Once Eichi reached her side, Vivian could perceive the lurid exhaustion rimming his blue irises; and she thought that he shouldnât have gotten up to look for, even if the gesture made her nerves burst with exultation.Â
âI see you found the ballroom.â
âAre you sure you donât live in a castle?â
Shaking his head, Eichi swept his gaze upwards; an almost wistful glisten shining in his eyes. âIt must feel like that to you. What do you think? Do you like it?â
There seemed to be some sort of implication in his question, with how he spoke it so subduedly and yet with a barely concealed yearning.
âDo I like it? Well, I donât think it matters?â Vivian softly began, although she knew she always dreamed of being like a real princess⯠walking through the halls earlier just made her sick to her stomach. âI think Iâd only like it if you were constantly by my side.â
Quickly, Vivian realised what nuance those words mightâve held, and got flustered over the notion that Eichi might catch on to the wrong idea. âL-Like, or a staff member? Who needs big hallways like that to make yourself just feel smaller, you know?!â
A gale of effervescent laughter oozed from Eichiâs vocals, the noise resonating with Vivianâs timorous feelings and making her heart flutter. âThatâs a good way to put it,â Eichi couldnât help but affirm her thoughts, âitâs like imagining an idol on stage with no one in the audience.â
âThat would never happen to you!â Vivian felt the overwhelming need to reassure Eichi, a firm and staunch worry laced in her voice; so completely protective over his well-being. âIâd always be watching you! I promise!â
A genuine smile curved on Eichiâs lips as his precious childhood friend avowed her loyalty to his career; to him.
Eichi strode further into the ballroom, admiring it for all that it isâand isnât. A snapshot of a desolate venue coruscated across his vision, his gut twisting with wretched inquietude. For Eichi, it wasnât only himself he concerned himself with⯠it was all idols.
âThat makes me happy. Iâd be able to give it my all if you were in the audience at every performance,â airy and light, Eichi said that to her; another heap of a faraway longing glazing over his eyes. âBut I know itâs impossible for you to be at every single one as much as I wish for it.â
Feeling her heart squeeze, Vivian made a silent pledge to herself to do her best to fulfil that wishâeven if it seemed impossible. After all, the princesses in every fairy tale always find a way! Although, maybe her role was better fitted for the loyal sidekickâŻâŻ
âWhatâs with that sad expression, Vivian?â
âO-Oh, nothingâŻ!â Vivian hastily dismissed his solicitousness, before saying, âWe should head back to bed, right? Itâs not good for you to be missing sleep like this.âÂ
âYou got up from bed for a reason, didnât you? Besides, I heard that staying up late to cause chaos is commonplace for sleepovers, fufuâȘâ Eichi was insouciant, impervious to the concern in her words and she didnât know why.
âI just wanted a glass of water,â Vivian shyly laughed at the thought. âI ended up finding this place instead.â
For a moment, Eichi looked lost in thought.
âBefore we head back, why donât we take advantage of having the ballroom to ourselves?â Eichi queried, extending out a hand to her, âUsually itâs filled with both familiar and unfamiliar faces; strangers Iâm supposed to pretend to know, when I never truly will.â
That statement along only accentuated the loneliness Vivian knew Eichi was endlessly plagued with, and she reached forward on a rupture of courage to seize his hand into her own as he offered it. âI-I donât really remember a lot of the fancy dance moves you taught me, but Iâd love to dance with you, Eichi!â
Those were the words he wanted to hear.
âWe donât have anyone to play music for us, so Iâll hum, how does that sound?â Eichi asked whilst gently pulling Vivian back into the middle of the dance floor.
Nodding her head eagerly, Vivian chirped, âPerfect! Your singing voice is so pretty anyway.â
Vivian was sincere in her plaudit, trying her best to stave off the embarrassment beginning to swell in her gut as she felt Eichi press his body against hers.
Guiding her hands around him, placing them on his shoulder and into her hand, Eichi leaned down and whispered in her ear, hot breath fanning over the shuddering lobe, âAre you ready?â
Humming once she quietly voiced her willingness, Eichiâs euphonious and mellow voice filled the room; imbuing grace and pulchritude in the clefts of solitude and emptiness.
The two of them were garbing their pyjamas in the middle of an exalted ballroom, streams of glorious moonlight highlighting their frames as they slowly began to move together in tandem with Eichiâs beats.
There was something so cherished and splendid about the scene.
And for a moment, with the light shining upon his mien, Vivian thought she saw Eichi blushing. Was he feeling just as self-conscious as she was? Being this close to Eichi in such an intimate setting⯠it made her heart take flight. Was that weird of her? But what if he was feeling the same? No way⯠theyâre just friends.
âAh, Vivian, itâs a step back here,â Eichi genteely corrected her, albeit she heard a tincture of mirth underscoring his tone. As if he was covertly amused by her faults.
âI-It isâŻ?!â she squeaked, desperately trying to fix her posture and steps. How many times had Eichi taught her this simple dance? And yet she can never get it right. It wasnât her fault, she thought, having him stare at her with such rapt attention as they dance was making her too tense and nervous. âSorryâŻâ
âFufu, donât apologise. Itâs cute to watch you being all fidgetyâȘâ Eichiâs voice is hushed in the air as he took a cursory moment to respond to her, his singing stopping; yet he was still able to guide her immaculately as if it never did stop at all.
Beneath her flustered state, Vivian couldnât help but be in awe at how impressive Eichi was. Even though he looks patently exhausted, heâs still able to effortlessly swirl her around to perfection whilst talking; balancing all that on himself.
âGeez, d-donât call me that!â
âCute? But you are,â Eichi innocently remarked, although he was anything but. âCanât someone compliment his favourite friend?â
Ah, right. Stop getting ahead of yourself, Vivian. She chastised herself, telling herself it was completely normal for friends to compliment each other. As a plethora of thoughts gyrated in Vivianâs head, it only magnified her diffidence.
Abruptly, and not in accordance with the dance he taught her, Eichi spun Vivian and dipped her; displaying his strength, discombobulating her and causing her to yelp.
âYouâre making that face again, Vivian,â Eichi started, almost tentatively, and kept her suspended in the air as he supported her with all his might. âI suppose itâs rude to comment so often on a ladyâs appearance, though. Iâm sorry.â
But for Eichi, it was difficult. He was ceaselessly paying attention to Vivianâs diverging faces and expressions, but he could never tell her why.
Bringing her back onto her feet, Eichi wondered why the distance between them suddenly felt so large. Their bodies were flush against one another, with Eichi feeling her heat and how the fabric of their silken pyjamas slid together with every motion they make together, yet he couldnât reach into her mind; her heart.

a/n: thank you so much for supporting me! *i squish you in a hug*
With a clipboard in hand, Reine tucked a strand of hair behind her ear that flowed from her pigtailsâher eyes carefully observing the trio dancing in front of her. âTsumugi-senpai, youâre supposed to take an extra step to your left in this segment, because Sora-kun is struggling with the power in his hops.â
Like a baby chick that just hatched from his shell, full of vivacity yet bungling at times. Sora was truly precious, Reine thought.
âOh, thatâs right. Thank you, Reine-chan,â Tsumugi expressed his gratitude for the pointer with a lighthearted remark.
âThey just because our producer and youâre already giving her extra work, Senpai,â Natsume spat with derision in his voice, giving him a biting look, âWhat are you going to do to make it up to little bunny?â
âM-Make it up to her?â Tsumugi reiterated that statement with discombobulation in his own tone, peeking between Natsume and Reine as the practice cursorily halted, âDoes Reine-chan like lettuce? I could probably get my hands on some vegetables from the students who take care of the gardensâŻâ
The cogitation emitting from Tsumugi only made Natsumeâs eyebrow twitch in even more umbrage. Tsumugi taking this so thoughtfully vexed him. âWhy are you treating her like a rabbit? Should I set out bear traps in the garden for you?â he started, golden hues darkening, âDid you forget I help take care of the plants around here?â
âEep! D-Donât say such scary things~ The plants will wither if you put traps out!â
âHiHi, theyâre fighting again~â Sora twittered animatedly as he spun on his heel, seemingly impervious to the banter now resounding throughout the practice room. Rather, he was curious on how Reine would react to their anticsâshe had only just recently become Switchâs sole producer, devoting herself to their growth.
Sora was ambivalent on how he felt about that, about everything; but if his master liked her, he would give her a chance. After all, Natsume wouldnât do anything to put him in danger. âReine-chan-senpai, what should we do?â
What is there to do? Theyâre not seriously fighting. Besides, itâs over something so inaneâshe couldnât help but let go of a sigh teetering on the edges of her lips.
âItâs okay, Sora-kun, donât worry about itâŻâ Reine trailed off, yet just as she did so, the doors popped open behind her with a discordant reverberation.
Leaping in discomfit, Reine wasnât even bestowed the leisure of turning around before she felt herself being pulled.
âThe vampire bastard wants to see ya,â Kogaâs familiar, steely voice pulsated through the air, his fangs bared as he looked at poor Reine with an intense scrutiny, âYa ainât got a choice.â
âRei-niisan does?âÂ
From behind Koga, Adonisâ imposing silhouette appearedâsolemn countenance riveted onto Reine before scooping her up into his arms. âMhm,â he monotonously began, albeit there was an unmistakable tenderness in the notes, âItâs across campus, and you look pretty weak to make the fast trek over, so Iâll carry you.â
Reine was ensnared in a stupor of flummox, the panicked beats of her heart distant against her entity as her head spun. âH-Huhâ?â
The last thing Reine could discern before being forcibly removed from the training room was Natsumeâs perplexed, ruffled mien as he yelled, âWait?!â
Where was she even being taken?
ââIf one thing was for certain, this Adonis carried her effortlessly; so much so, that even when he was hastening down the stairs, her petite body barely rocked. It was a strangely pleasant ride, and she wasnât quite sure how to feel about that.
Now that she thought about it, wasnât Adonis in the same class as Natsume? Part of the popular, impious unit UNDEAD⯠oh, it clicked! Thatâs who Rei was, the leader.
But why did he of all people want to see her? Didnât Natsume call him âRei-niisanâ? And why go through all this trouble to abduct her?
Before long, Reine found herself being gently set down in front of the theatre room. âThis is as far as we go,â Koga abruptly said, scratching the back of his head, âGood luck, uh, little miss.â (He canât remember her name.)
Adonis simply nodded, hushed and quiet as ever. Between the pair, Reine liked him a lot better⯠but nevermind that.
âRei-senpai wants to see me? In here?â Reine asked, pointing towards the door with a bewildered look in her eyes.
âHah? Yeah, somethingâ about a meeting,â was all the information Koga could offer her before he gestured for Adonis to follow himâwhich he did; but not before bowing his head in Reineâs directionâand the two of them were ambling off without anything else said.
What the heck⯠wasnât this just like the start of a horror story? A kidnapping followed by a subsequent, clandestine killing.
Swallowing trepidatiously in congruence with prying open the doors, Reine was met with total darkness; a single spotlight pouring out onto the stage. Nope, she was not doing this.
Reine gyrated on her foot to leave, heart pounding in her chest rapidly and eroding her sense of control over the situation, but it wouldnât ever be that easy, would it?
âDonât be frightened, Usagi-chan! Even though your scared form is utterly adorable tooââ Boisterous laughter pealed in the capacious room and she recognized that voice as belonging to Hibiki Wataru.
âItâs okay~ Come onto the stage, sea bunny~â a different, mellifluous voice crooned. It felt refreshing, like a rush of water pooling over her body.
Judging by the way these people talked, their forms still obscured from the eclipsed lights, they all knew of her.
âHurry up and stand on stage. I donât have time to be sitting around like this,â another voice, sententious and stern, said, adding, âYouâre Switchâs new producer, are you not? Then stop cowering and come down.â
It was one thing after another in this schoolâno one liked to inform her or allow her time to process what was happening before dragging her into the mayhem. Her pulse quickened, and yet she still climbed down the long stairs, each step accentuated with a breath of inquietude, and gawkily made her way onto the stage.
Beads of sweat accumulated on the nape of Reineâs neck as her fingers gripped the hem of her blazer, trying not to appear too spineless. Being in the spotlight like this was dauntingâthis is why she preferred the sidelines.
Ahh, how many people are in the audience? She was beginning to feel woozy, complexion blanching as a myriad of egregious thoughts and feelings circled in her head and body.
This was a terrible idea, and she needs to run away. It was reminding her far too much of that ghost story she overheard Noeri telling once.
In a trice, someone snapped their fingers and the rest of the theatre was enveloped in illumination; revealing four figures all settled in divergent seats, spread out across the room.
âKufu, apologies for spooking you, little miss,â Rei, who Reine was able to perceive straight away from his loose black tresses, smiled towards her with a knowing, almost enigmatic look, âbut we wanted to talk to you.â
âArenât you all part of the Three Eccentrics?â
Reine had vaguely heard of them; truthfully, she wasnât too well-versed in Yumenosaki Academyâs lore from previous years yet. That doesnât explain the fourth person, though.
âMhm~ Iâm Shinkai Kanata,â the blue-haired one introduced himself softly, and Reine noticed how droplets of water clung to the ends of his hair.
âItsuki Shu of Valkyrie,â Shu huffed, cradling a beauteous doll in his lap. âYou should already know that. Iâm no longer associated with the Eccentrics, but I stand by my comrades.â
âOf course, considering the look on your face, you know of me. Sakuma Rei.â
Nodding her head awkwardly as she finally got acquainted with the two figures she didnât recognize, Reine still felt disorientated. âI-Itâs nice to meet you all! Iâm Akiyama ReineâŻâ
She hated having all their eyes on her like this; she felt on display, and that was a feeling she loathed and abhorred.
âYes, itâs a pleasure,â Rei was insouciant and equally cordial, as if trying to placate her conspicuous anxieties.
âUm! Why did you call me out hereâŻ?â Reine questioned as her fingers unremittingly fiddled with the hedges of her blazer, overburdened. âYou said you wanted to talk, but what about?â
âYour status as Switchâs producer!â Wataru was the first one to answer, although inexplicably, lips curved into a jaunty grin. âYou just recently submitted your application for it, didnât you~?â
âY-Yes, I did⯠Iâm already accepted?â
âThat was fast~ I bet Nacchan is happy about that~âȘâ Kanata piped in.
âHumph! At least youâre capable enough for the academy to recognize you,â Shu gave his opinion with a pompous sulk.
In the first place, why are the Three Eccentrics interrogating her about this? The way their gazes were riveted onto her, gauging each of her reactions⯠Reine was simply growing uneasy again.
Rei chortled once more, before his eyes squinted, mouth punctuating his words with what felt like a taunt, âNow, just what exactly do you think of Sakasaki-kun?â
âWhat do I think about him?â
âYes, yes! Whatâs your relationship with him like?â Wataru probed even more, braid swishing with a tilt of his head.
âM-My relationship?!â
Natsume was the one who asked her to apply to become Switchâs producer; and it was a big decision she had to make. But she wasnât only doing this to help Natsume outâit was for Tsumugi, for Sora, for Switch altogether.
Parting her lips to answer, Reine squeaked as the door suddenly slammed open and Natsume came running down the steps.
Cheeks flushed from exertion, and perhaps mortification, Natsume heaved a relieved exhale as soon as he espied Reine safe-and-sound. âMade itâŻ!â he whispered under his breath as he hopped on stage, rushing to Reineâs side.
âYou four! What are you doing?!â Natsume began chiding them, the heat in his complexion exacerbating as he wrapped two arms around Reine, âThey didnât do anything weird to you, did they?â
Natsume truly looked like a little brother who just got embarrassed by his older ones, his expression mirroring that sense of perturbation.
Shaking her head, finding her own chest overflowing with warmth from the lovingkindness in Natsumeâs touch around her, she murmured against his ear, âIâm okayâŻâ
âWahaha! We didnât do anything!â Wataru laughed ebulliently, patently amused.
âWe were just talking,â Rei further highlighted Wataruâs words by unfolding his leg over the other one and leaning forward, âSheâs quite a shy producer, isnât she?â
Natsume felt his eyebrow twitch for the second time today, and he snapped, âAnd? We were in the middle of practice when you interrupted us!â
âSorry, we couldnât wait to meet her,â Kanata hummed, a sympathetic gleam in his emerald eyes. He seemed to be the only one who was sincerely apologetic at the moment, and it gave Reine a stream of relief.
Nodding his head, Rei added, âItâs important to us that we know whoâs looking after you.â
Ah, all these upperclassmen congregated because they care deeply for Natsumeâand that love was conveyed in a manner befitting a group dubbed The Eccentrics.
With a burst of heat in her chest, Reine blurted out amidst all this small arguing and chatter, âI love Natsume-kun!â
Everyone was astonished by the effusive declarationâto them, it was unpredicted and shocking from the conclusion they had formed over her. And Natsume blinked, mind reeling and heart fluttering within the crevice of his chest, âL-Little bunnyââ
âI also love Sora-kun! And Tsumugi-senpai!â Reine ceaselessly divulged her adoration on a surge of courage, even if it was flourishing from her anxiety, âI love Switch! So you all donât need to worry!â
Silence.
A few beats passedâleaving poor Reine trembling on stage and in Natsumeâs armsâbefore everyone (except Natsume and Shu, of course), erupted into their own fits of laughter. Genuine, purehearted laughter.
âTake care of our Natsume, will you, Reine?â Rei requested, sweet tones of esteem oozing from every syllable.
Fervidly nodding her head as embarrassment and exaltation suffused through the fissures of her body, Reine avowed, knowing she had earned their respect for now, âI-I will!â
As for Natsume, whoâs head was still endlessly repeating the way Reine had announced âI love Natsume-kun!â, he knew he wasnât going to hear the end of it from his Nii-sans.
ătenshouin eichi x vivian // kiteichi - weretiger auă
âł commission for @yumebait !
wc: 1,648
a/n: thank you for commissioning me (again)! i really hope you enjoy, you and eichi are a treat to write for!
Enveloped in crepuscular, the lofty palace grounds were muted and tranquilâand as Vivian fulfilled her duties as a self-proclaimed guard dog, she didnât leave a stone unturned in her search for oddities and potential danger.
From pulchritudinous flowers to the contrived amenities, Vivian circled the premises. Although, even with how staunch she was, the poor weretiger tended to leap at the slightest or unexpected sound. And, on top of her skittish nature, she wasnât very adept at fighting eitherâŻ
Yet every day, she was granted with everything she needed to surviveâfood, shelter, waterâand more. Clothes, accessories, toys; anything that went beyond basic necessities.
Truthfully, Vivian was quite spoiled.
âMy family has more wealth than they know what to do with. Please donât hesitate to ask for anything you need or wantâȘâ Eichi had told her when he first brought her home, exalted to indulge her in opulence at every turn.
Even if she didnât ask for it.
Skipping down the cobblestone path as she looped back around to the front of the palace, protrusions of grass sashaying in the spring breeze and tickling her ankles when she twirled, Vivian giggled; but found herself halting the moment she espied Eichi on the veranda.
Garbing a solemn mien, Eichiâs luscious hair became vesper-kissed from the skeins of sunset beguiling his sylphlike frame. Vivian didnât like the look on his faceâbut the familiar thrall of captivation and security entangled around her. Just seeing him was enough to do that for her⯠even though it was supposed to be the other way around.
âOh, princess, are you finished your daily patrol?â
Eichiâs comforting voice made her ears twitch in joy.
Nodding her head exuberantly, Vivian chirped, âYep! Thereâs nothing out of the ordinary!â
âThere usually isnât, is there? Hardly anyone would dare to attack the Tenshouin estate, unless they had a death wish,â Eichi commented, deliberately enforcing a lighthearted tone as a chortle overflowed from his thin lips.
Gesticulating for Vivian to come closer to him, Eichi was pleased as she obligedâher lively feet springing over to his side in a rushâonly to hear her squeal as he circled his arms around her waist and pulled her into his lap.
In an instant, Vivianâs instincts kicked in and her teeth chomped right down onto Eichiâs cheek, the plushness squishing beneath her incisors. It left a lurid blemish, reddened hues flourishing against that pale complexion of his.
âOwâ!â Eichi let out a yelp of his own, and yet, even as the shooting sting surged through him, his arms didnât move. Keeping Vivian ensnared within his arms, grasping onto her with a desperation he scarcely displays. âHaha, that hurtâȘâ
With a pout of guilt twisting on her mien, Vivian murmured, âS-SorryâŻâ
âNo, I needed itâŻâ Eichi suspired onto the crook of her neck as his head sunk into her shoulder, lips feathery against the skin as he nuzzled impossibly closer, âI needed you.â
â⯠Another rough day, Eichi-sama?â
âHow many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me â-samaâ? Just Eichi is fine⯠please,â he began, kissing along the slope of her sensitive neck, âI canât bear it when you treat me like everyone else.â
All the other servants and workers relentlessly chastised Vivian whenever she addressed Eichi without an honorificâwithout âthe utmost reverenceâ. And yet Eichi thought so highly of her that he practically begged for her to call him less formally.
Vivian was just a weretiger with no eminent ties.
Eichi was the one who saved her from her demise.
The streets are dangerous and unforgiving no matter who you areâbut when youâre a weretiger who canât properly transform, shift between forms, itâs even worse.
Heavy torrents of rain drenched the corners of the earth, filling the crevices and ineluctably waterlogging each space, and Vivian, without a place of belonging or shelter to hide under, dipped into a grotty alleyway in an inefficacious attempt to escape it.Â
She was so hungry itâs nauseating, each pelt of rain against her skin only amplifying the cravings in her stomach, and as she pressed her back against the wall, she was unaware that someone had caught eye of her.
âArenât you a poor little one,â a disembodied voice resonated with the drops tarnishing the ground. âWhat are you doing, hiding here of all places?â
Panicked eyes peered up, espying an umbrella encasing a divine-looking man, and Vivian hissed as she bared her fangs to him, âGet away!â
Unstirred by her disposition of acrimony and hostility, he brought his umbrella forward to cover her beneath it; but the innocent gesture was viewed as minacious to Vivianâs primal, fierce instincts. In the blink of an eye, she scratched at his hand with her claws and caused him to drop the umbrella altogether.
The umbrella bounced off the ground as he cradled his hand, blood oozing from the laceration while the both of them were becoming soddened by the rain. âYour nails are quite sharp, arenât they?â he laughed, almost airilyâas if the throbbing pain meant nothing to him.Â
âYou donât have a home.â
Those simple words cut deep into Vivianâs chest, carving out her defenses and perfusing a hurt all of its own. This man standing before her⯠he was fearless, she thought, eyes glistening with a tenderness unbeknownst to her.
She shook her head wordlessly, not knowing how else to answer him.
âIf you have nowhere else to go, why donât you come with me?â
Once more, Vivianâs eyes widenedâlips rounded in an âoâ shape that reflected how her fangs still protruded in anxiety.
The downpour made his skin even more pallid, and Vivian could tell that standing defenseless in the rain like this was worsening the weak constitution he possessed. She could smell that he was sick, yet he remained in front of her like this without conveying that to her.
âWhatâs⯠who are you?â
âEichi. Tenshouin Eichi.â
Extending his hand out to Vivian once more, taking that confident chance in case she rejected him and hurt him again, Eichi still had that soft, endearing smile on his face.
Before she knew it, Vivian was kissing and giving kitten-like licks onto the mark on Eichiâs cheek from where she bit him. Eichi was always so kind, forgiving her no matter what she did (or didnât)⯠and she wanted to be the one to comfort him this time.
Squeezing her waist a little tauter as he propped her legs astride his body, their hips pressed flush together, Eichi brought his mouth up to her ear and whispered, âVivian, call my name.â
A plea spoken with hidden neediness.
âEichi,â Vivian said his name as her tail flickered back and forth behind her, the longing in her voice palpitating his heart and imbuing a heat surpassing heaven, âEichi, I love you! Iâm here for you, so donât look so sad⯠okay?â
Incapable of resisting the temptation any longer, Eichi cupped Vivianâs chin and tilted her head up before attaching his lips against hers. âHaah, youâre incredible,â he drawled, kissing her sweetly again and again. âJust you saying that makes all my troubles feel so far awayâŻâ
Itâd be nice if Vivian could make all his troubles vanish forever. Sheâd eat them every last one if she could, storing them inside her and harboring the pain for herself. Anything to spare him heartache.
âI do want a few more kisses, though,â Eichi playfully teased as he noticed her expression falling ever so slightly, bringing his mouth over hers and sucking in the air she breathed like he needed that oxygen to survive. Like she was his lifeline.
And, unknowingly to her, Eichi did feel that way.
That day, when he found her⯠to him, it was her who saved him.
âMmhâŻâ Vivian relinquished a soft, muffled moan as their lips rounded with each otherâs, luxuriating in the pleasure and bliss that seeped into their entities with every motion. Intrinsically, as her nerves bristled with an untamable warmth, her tail wrapped around Eichiâs arm in an effort to settle it down.
She was being awfully pliant right now, even purring cutely in his arms, and it made Eichi hum and smile into the kisses. In order to rile her up even more, Eichi took her bottom lip between his teeth and tugged.
âMmph?!â Squirming in Eichiâs lap, the fingers that were curved around his shoulders pushing him away, Vivian huffed. Her lips parted in retaliation, falling to his lips and giving him yet another bite tonight.
âNn! Alright, alright, Iâll stop playing around,â Eichi conceded with a breathy laugh, âI donât want any swollen lips again.â
Eichi had an important meeting to attend to tomorrow, and he canât exactly show up with bitten, puffy lips, can he? At least not if he wanted to appear professional; heâs already had an incident in the past that aroused far too many questions for his liking.
Canât a man enjoy his princess giving him bites in peace?
Lifting his gaze up to the darkening sky, the clouds dotting the horizon now streaked with shade, Eichi suggested, âWhy donât we take a bath together? The sunâs about gone now.â
Vivian stuck her tongue out in disgust.
âOh, come now, you have that reaction every time, princess,â Eichi chided lightly, the two of them untangling themselves from each other as they stood up. Eichi seized Vivian's hand to occlude any thoughts of running away she mightâve had, âLet me pamper you tonight. Itâll help rejuvenate me. And then, we can snuggle in bed.â
Intertwining their fingers together, Vivian fervently nodded her head and sung, âMhm! If you promise to give me lots of cuddles, Iâll be a good girl in the bath~âȘâ
Eichi didnât believe that for a second, and it only made his heart ache hotly.
He loved her.
He loved her so much.
